  • 13 BIGGEST Houses
    From mansions to palaces to crazy people who got money in ways we don't understand these are the 13 BIGGEST Houses.
    Antilla is the name of a giant futuristic mansion in Mumbai, India and is the first billion dollar residential home to ever exist. It was commissioned by the world’s fifth richest man Mukesh Ambani, who is the owner of the biggest company in India, Reliance Industries. Mukesh’s 27 story mansion towers above the surrounding apartment high-rises and comes complete with a cinema complex, helipads, a health center, and hanging garden.
    Hala Ranch is a 95 acre estate just north of Aspen, Colorado in the Rocky mountains. Hala Ranch originally belonged to a Saudi Prince named Bandar bin Sultan before it was purchased by an American hedge fund manager named John Paulson.10 years ago Hala Ranch was the most expensive estate ever listed in the U.S., priced at $135 million dollars in 2006. 135 million seems like a fair price for a 56,000 square foot area that trumps the White House in size.
    50 Poplar Hill Drive, in Farmington Connecticut is the address of 50 Cent’s crazy crib. His
    51, 567 square foot mansion comes complete with all the amenities any rapper could need: 21 bedrooms, 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool, a gym, a basketball court, a green screen studio, a recording studio, and an underground disco room complete with stripper poles. This pimped out mansion is as lavish as they come but has unfortunately cost 50 cent more than a million and has spiraled him into bankruptcy.
    The Manor, also known as the Spelling Manor named after its previous owners, now belongs to a British heiress named Petra Ecclestone. The Manor is a 56,500 square foot estate in the posh neighborhood of Holmby Hills, California. Previously the most expensive home in America priced at 125, million dollars, it was sold at the low low price of 85 million to the heiress.
    The Hearst Estate is a huge property that spans several hundred acres and includes a huge ranch and a herd of zebras. The property is actually made up of one main house and several smaller guest houses. Casa Grande, the main house is 65,000 square feet, with the other houses amassing a total of more than 10,000 square feet. This huge house has seen many celebrity guests and has famously been used as a backdrop in the Godfather films. Although originally a residence for the Hearst family, it was registered as a California State Park in 1957 and has been open for tourists to visit since.

    I have no idea why anyone would want any of those homes. Unless I am planning on having 10 other families living with me, I see no need of having 11 kitchens in one home. The wealthy just spend because they can not out of need...50 cent is a good example. Had a he bought a modest reasonably priced home, he wouldn't need to file for bankruptcy.

    Think of all the homeless that could be housed if this kind of money were spent on basic housing needs. The greed that some people have. Sad.

    • @jddj2952
      @jddj2952 Před 4 lety +1

      @Markus Patients This is true, however if housing was built around ground where the homeless were re-educated to grow their own food and some craft that they can be responsible at it would turn this situation around from where it is today. Once homeless individuals had to be responsible at working for what they get they would feel better about themselves. This is more than half the problem. Homeless feel useless and they don't want to conform to the wicked ways of government controlled business or the private corporate sector where more damaged is created by them then anything else.

    • @jddj2952
      @jddj2952 Před 4 lety +2

      @Markus Patients Well at least my thoughts on the matter suggest a possible way to rethink the matters of homelessness. It offers a solution. When people can not offer an intelligent reply or offer a solution or resolve to help people think, and resort to using or writing foolish words, they usually reflect who you are. One person cannot resolve all of mans problems, however, using these comment spaces as a tool to do something positive can help inspire workable solutions. I choose to use this time and space to do this instead of using it your way. You have a nice day.

    • @jddj2952
      @jddj2952 Před 4 lety +1

      @Markus Patients I was a homeless person and I turned that situation around by helping other homeless people and I have taken under my roof homeless women and have seen homeless men through 12 weeks of detoxification. I walk my talk. what have you done lately.?????? Hummmm

    • @jddj2952
      @jddj2952 Před 4 lety +1

      @Markus Patients You obviously can not read and understand what you read. My comment says that I WAS a homeless person. There are many homeless people helping out others despite their situation. That help doesn't always mean taking them into a home. I hope you may grow to a point where you understand and find some kindness in you rather than that of unworthy comments. You have a nice day.

    • @jddj2952
      @jddj2952 Před 4 lety +1

      Biltmore Estate, a fine example of Gilded Age excess. If it were up to me the Biltmore Estate would include a wing detailing the business practices that amassed the fortune. Grotesque tales of no social safety nets, nor simple safety. 80-hour work-weeks, no pensions or holidays. No health insurance. Just a vast meat grinder of working class men.
      A warning too. America's elite have been working feverishly since FDR and his New Deal to bring back the Gilded Age. They'd like nothing more than to grind as many working-class under their boots as possible.

      Lenard
      Did not know the IWW still existed.
      Just for the education of others:
      A careful reading of the economic research on the “robber barons” leads to a diametrically opposite conclusion to that of the critics who invented the title: the so-called robber barons were neither robbers nor barons. They didn’t rob. Instead, they got their money the old-fashioned way: they earned it. Nor were they barons. The word “baron” is a title of nobility, one typically granted by a king or established by force. But Vanderbilt, Rockefeller, and many of the others referred to as robber barons started their businesses from scratch and were granted no special privileges. Moreover, not only did they earn their money and not only were they not granted privileges, but they also helped consumers and, in one famous case, destroyed a monopoly.

    • @HooDatDonDar
      @HooDatDonDar Před 2 lety

      As for your ‘80 hour work week’:
      The economy was predominantly agricultural in the nineteenth century. The productivity of labor so low that a) people had to work 70 to 80 hours a week, and b) in many instances, child labor was necessary to keep food on the table. It was not through some piece of legislation, but through technological development (e.g., steam power in the nineteenth century) and factor productivity growth that people were able to work less hours. By the time the FLSA was passed such legislation was unnecessary because the average work hours during the late 1930s and early 1940s was hovering around the desirable length of the work week.
      We didn't need a mandate to provide us with a 40-hour work week. Market forces were already doing that for us, and they should continue doing so.

    If these rich people had to take care of these homes all by themselves cleaning and painting and yard work, they would think twice before building something so huge. Such a waste of money its so sad, No one needs that much room to live, Who would want to run around a house like that to make sure all the windows and doors were locked at night??? Or how could you sleep in something that huge and feel safe??? Someone could be in the house and you wouldnt even know unless you have a very expensive home security system and guards 24 hours a day to watch over it!

    I grew up in a town that has a mixture of income levels. We had only one high school, so of course, there was pressure to fit in. I use to wish that I could be like those that lived in the big houses. Now that I'm older, me personally, I'm renting a two-bedroom, and it's not enough space for me, but I don't think I desire anything that large, but I have definitely, outgrown my two-bedroom.

Came close to having to give it up when the bills became nearly more than I could handle. Fortunately, I was able to find a bank to give me a HELOC just in the nick of time.
