17 and its May
One of the best live shows I have seen was Those Poor Bastards opening for Murder By Death in Madison Wisconsin
these guys are from my home town. they come into the restaurant where i wait tables, occasionally. definitely my favorite band.
This is one of the best songs of all time, in my opinion.
what she said.

14 years have passed
14 year have past since the day...
When a 240p video was watchable!
Lmao
We are super stoked to have Murder by Death at Visual Arts Collective tonight!!
So... (*inhale -Deep Breathes) This band has been my favorite band in Last 20 years... My friend Johnny turned me on to them. who was my brother's drummer.Their music had own original flavor with story telling design behind each song. Fell in love instantly to "Sara's" Chloe . To this she will always rock my world with it like when i was teenage boy who saw his first crush.. Well im asking for celebration... I remember when this whole Album came out "Boca Al Lupa". (-into the wolf's mouth,' a way to wish someone 'good luck.) My brother came in and showed me this song for the introduction of this band. And this song was ours. 20 years now he is dead. Didn't change the habits and the life style,,,
Whelp hear it goes family. Finally listening to sense he has passed... Nearly 80 days ago... Finally picking my ass up going to sober living. "Wish my well upon my way... And carry me home..."
best band you've never heard of!!!
Not true I have all their albums haha.
I have my stepdad to thank for me knowing this band. Saw them live New Year's Eve and I fell in love.
Accurate. I preach the gospel of MBD
The celloist, Sarah, visited my middle school recently and talked to us about the band. It was a really cool experience!
Sad, but true!
It's my brother's birthday today and even though I'm most likely going to be the one in jail this song is our new anthem. Love you brotha.
This is the single greatest song written in the past five years. I 've seen them six times, goin' for the seventh in a couple weeks. They blow my mind everytime and it's loads of fun. If anybody's goin' to the Iowa City show, I'll share my flask with ya'.
I saw them in concert yesterday...totally awesome!
Ive seen this video before. I think on a pukorama dvd. When I was a teenager. Funny how life brings things full circle
I spent a couple of hours drawing a picture of MbD playing a show in my apartment, when I was done I realized that I had drawn Adam as a right-handed guitarist. Dammit.
The lead singer was one of my climbing buddies when I was in grad school. Small world.
Is he cool?
This band is awesome, how come it took me 14 years to hear this song?
Wondering the same thing
I feel like this song gets better every time I hear it.
2007 Take Action Tour cd at Spencer's in the mall- Been looking for this song ever since. Finally found it in 2021.
Woah, forgot how much I loved that album. Murder By Death is awesome! Just heard their recent record, they are still killin' it.
i get tears from this song, reminds me of my fucking brother
Even after so long, this song is still kicking!
Northson hell yeah it is. Just found out about this band a week or so ago from an E3 trailer.
What a song, as an Irishman me and my four drunken personalities raise a few drinks to this band.
Went to a MBD show last night in Milford, CT and this is a fair representation of how it all went down.
I love the ending of the song, with just the voice and the guitar strumming
Saw them last night, amazing musical talent!
2022 e continuo amando essa música
First time hearing this song. I got goosebumps!
Such a great band!!
@backoffpunk95 Me Too.....Heard this song on the ISU college radio station.... love it....
Words cannot describe how awesome of a voice the singer has.
Goodneess. I saw these guys live four times I think. Great shows.
I love it! The cello, the johnny cash aura, the greatness of it all!
LOVE This song!!!!!!! They are great in concert!
this band has become one of my favourite bands. i want them to come over to the uk. and i looooooveeee this song. one of my faves off of this album.
from a REAL fan- This music video is....good. Does the band no justice. You have no idea until you see them live. No words can describe the amount of amazing you will get out of one of their shows.
Maybe the best band I have not seen live. Love the catalogue.
They are fucking fantastic live. Saw them with a friend in D.C. a while back who didn't understand why I loved them so much. Two songs into the set, he turns to me and goes: Never mind, I get it. They are fucking awesome.
Wow, I can't believe I've never heard this before. This guys freaking rock. :D
hits the spot every time. goosebumps guaranteed. ♥
i like their sound.. and his voice just makes the song sound so beautiful...
Saw them last night opening for Rev. Peytons Big Damn Band in Indy, Best show I've seen in a good long while. And if you haven't seen Rev. Peyton live, you need to.
No joke when i was like 13-15 id make a minecraft world on ps3 listening to loads of songs like this making this large forested bunch of towns for my imagination to run around as i enjoyed making stories, like as if it was a recreation of the ideas in my head
Yeah Sara! Rock that cello!
this could be the song that brought back the bar-fight rock'n'roll genre. goddamn.
I'm not a big fan of their other work, but this song is utterly amazing-it captures that old-school, irrelevant, badass tone of primal rnr.
going to see them in 2 hours! can't wait!!
Hey, yeah. The Builders and the Butchers turned out to be great. I saw them with Murder by Death here in Missoula, Montana.
One of the best shows I've seen, I gotta say. MBD is great live, and they played a sweet sequence of scenes from classic movies to accompany their music. Classy touch.
Awesome. The band I play in supported them in Liverpool on Friday (13th). Was a really, really good night. Great guys to talk to as well.
awesome band! i just saw them live in seattle with clutch and hex factor. great concert.
I saw them last month, opening for Reverend Horton Heat. Loved them so much i bought both their albums there
Great band, awesome live
Awesome show! They handed out birthday cake for their 1,000th show! They are just genuinely cool...

I love you guys!!!!! your amazing live!!! cant wait to see you again someday!!! this is my song to you brother!!!
If this was what country music sounded like today, I would never change the station.
Saw them open for Gogol Bordello at McCarren park pool. So damn good! I love this shit!
Never heard of this band. Wow, this video is almost as old as CZcams
Wow, I got tickets to see these guys because the opening band (The Builders and the Butchers) is awesome....haven't heard any of their songs before, and after listening to this I'm really excited to see them!
Oh heyyy, I met these folks in Edmonton. They are AMAZING live, and that girl...just...unf.
SUCH amazing music.
Amazing video for an amazing song!
I'm surprised this video hasn't reached 1 million views- it's spectacular!
Is it just me, or is anyone else getting an Irish rock vibe? I'm not sure what it is, but I LOVE it! They're so talented!
14 years have passed..... since that day.
the cellist is so talented and really beautiful!
:D
@ugzz I don't think it's "stop-motion"; it's intentionally of a lower quality, to aid people in the decision of whether or not to buy the "proper" video.
Heard this song a good three or four months ago. I had forgotten what it was called and who it was by. I got lucky by guessing the title was Brothers. I had to look for an hour, and it was completely worth it.
wish i could see them but i always miss the chance o.o
awesome band
Great rythm, great song :)
well this song makes me remember the time when i used to work at a bar, they describe all the trip pretty good and its obvious they have been there too, the music is ok the lyrics are better and the video is awesome
I think I just fell in love with their cellist.
cello makes it all the more better!
2022 still listening. Their best song
See it live, it's awesome

I couldn't agree more!
23 people do not appreciate good music.
Fourteen years have passed since that day, but I have to believe that all will be forgiven.
Haven't found a Murder by Death song I didn't like yet. They're amazing :).
Plus, Sarah fricking rocks. She's pretty and really talented.
throw back.
I'm looking at the like bar with a look of smug satisfaction on my face.
Damn that’s good
I wish their other music sounded like this :C
Thank you Take Action Tours!
I saw them play with Thursday it was an awesome set, and that was back in 03 or 04. Fuckin Brutal.

If you have seen A River Runs Through It there is no way you CAN'T think of it when you hear this song.
