I have older version of that rear motor for like 9 years already. Made 80.000km with no maintenance at all. Since 3 years i commute to work, even in rain and deep snow. That ridiculous how reliable that thing is. Only problem i had is similar to yours - the axle. M12 axle in ebikes is a mistake. That cant handle torque of 45A controller. Its already almost round and i have no idea how to fix it.
Awesome build. Excessive current melts the wires. I would throw a dnm DH forks on it and carry on.
