@@captainskater8047 I strongly agree that it’s better. It’s more monstrous, angry, rage-filled. Every subsequent roar just sounds like Yuki yelling with a deep voice filter on it. Eren never stopped being angry, so I honestly just think the sound department got lazy and didn’t want to add that mix of Eren’s original voice to the roar.

The roar in first half of first season is the best, you can feel that it might cause an earthquake. Fourth season roar is terrifying as well, but too quiet for me
Ikr!!! The very first one is so sick!! The rest of the seasons, it sounds more like a large man, but that first roar sounds like a demon straight out of hell. My second favorite is during the forest transformation as he sounds so enraged and saddened. The first season in general he has a very ethereal sound but they erased that effect in later seasons which is disappointing. Maybe they got tired of editing it so much and decided to take less pains in having to tweak it or something. I'm a dub guy first and foremost and prefer those roars in general but the Sub is definitely on point with the ones I mentioned and wished they had stuck to that formula.
