Richie Sambora is to me one of the greatest musicians in rock history, he delivers the best as a song writer, has an amazing voice, does the greatest backing vocals and invented so touching guitar solos. His pasion and talent are incredible. Watch Wembley 1995.
If that’s so why is Richie Sambora not as successful being a solo artist as he was being in Bon Jovi? They make a great team working together and have been successful that way. Nonetheless, Bon Jovi is still selling out concerts and is extremely successful without Richie, therefore it did not only take Richie to make Bon Jovi the legends they are today!

And John still has the reputation of the band they made together. Although the video of BonJovi's 2022 tour I just couldn't watch... It's very sad...

John Sykes has it. There are others, too. Richie is one of them. He’s not just a guitarist, he’s an artist. And it shows.
I play guitar and drums and I must admit that for me Richie Sambora is the one who has made the best LYRICS, guitar SOLOS and backing VOCALS of all. I mean he delivers the best in a whole package, as a composer, singer and player.

I wish live from London dvd had these songs. I know they only recorded like one night of the 2 or 3 night stop there. But so many good moments were missed
I love Richie. He can just rip on a Strat ! Awesome tone and technique. It just kills me to see his decline both physically and mentally. He doesn’t looked well these days. I reallllly would love for him to bounce back into the greatness that he was/is.
THEY ARE BOTH EQUALLY TALENTED MEN. The band supported Richie through some rough times, including rehab. Richie signed on to Jon's dream and would not have the life he has now without Jon's vision. I'm sure he didn't regret the trips to the bank. In the end, he had a daughter who needed his help, and he was financially able to quit the band to help her. I think he also had some issues with John Shanks at the end...but...Tico, David, and Hugh still believed in Jon and they continued on and I think they continued to make great music. AGAIN, THEY ARE BOTH TALENTED MEN!

Jon's Ego was too Big to let Richie Shine! The Crowds LOVED Richie's Solos when Jon walked off stage during his breaks and I think Jon was jealous of the response to Richie's talent! Too Bad Richie didn't have his Own band and not be left in the shadows! Epic Talent!
Uh... you do know that both Jon & Richie had solo careers, right? The former was evidently more successful w/ platinum-selling albums and a number one award-winning single. Even when Jon was writing songs on his own like "Dry County", he evidently made lots of room for Richie to shine. Because outside of Bon Jovi, Richie is generally ignored even by most of the band's fans. At least David Bryan made an award-winning musical.

John was the showman. Richie was the talent. Richie is a phenomenal songs writer and singer. No one plays the guitar sexier than Richie Sambora.
Without Richie's guitar playing and backing vocals Bon Jovi is now hollow.
