My husband was born in Mexico in the mid 1940's; it took him (as a young child), almost five years to come into the US by the rules -and be naturalized, lawfully. In Salt Lake City and then New Orleans. After which he went to school, did his military service in the Army (Vietnam), shipped as a merchant seaman for decades, worked as a longshoreman, got married, paid taxes, voted....and is now retired. We are always saddened to hear of people who not only enter our country illegally (and with malice aforethought , intending to become criminals in America), but give law abiding Hispanic citizens such a bad name, casting a shadow over their hard work, and integrity. I don't know what the answer is - but some law enforcement officers should really get medals for what they are made to endure in a normal work day. Thank you all - and thank you, dear Sheriff Grady..

The main problem is that the law has gone so soft that these guys use the country as a playground. Get deported, no problem, come back a few weeks later with a new social security number. This is why border security is huge! Plus, the more illegal that are here creates a whole industry of illegal licenses, socials and whatever else..

I live in Highlands County, Florida, which borders Polk County's southern border. I applaud Sheriff Grady Judd for his law enforcement expertise, and I'm grateful he's doing all he can to arrest and convict criminals in Polk County so that they don't come down into my county to commit crimes. Kudos to Sheriff Grady Judd! He's the man.

It wasn't over $900. It wasn't over a bike. He didn't even want the bike. He committed murder over $100.
And it was his girlfriend's $100. The one he was supposedly cheating on. I guess they still loved each other enough to go together to try to get the $100. Hopefully the jury will determine the truth behind this and they both end up in prison for a long time. So sad for Ben and his family.

i hate to tell you, citizens were waiting long times in the ER before all these imaginary illegal immigrants filled up ur local ER. People going to the ER for convenience is the problem with wait times. Especially in rural areas where there are a limited supply of doctors, some people don't want to wait at the doctor's office so they go to the ER. Doctors in this country have about 1,500-3000 patients per doctor, and that's legal citizens.

What people don't realize is that these people who come illegally ome from places that don't have the same laws and respect for human life in general. They didn't have as much access to vehicles and booze as they do here. There are tons of people that are not from America that come here and do nothing but work hard and never come across law enforcement.
Most likely a blood clot led to his death, same thing occurred to a friend of mine who was drunk and had a solo vehicle crash, after talking to my friend for a couple of days and he seemed to be in good spirits and was anxiously awaiting to leave the hospital, on the morning of his release he was found unconscious and unresponsive and subsequently died as a result of a undetected blood clot, not to take anything away from this Dirtbag that was here”ILLEGALLY” that killed an innocent person.
Embolism was my first thought too. It's a shame they can't rebuild & be encouraged to stay in their home country or come legally. A legal process will tell most that a person really loves the country they are moving to & will respect it. Staying in your own country shows strength & willpower to change & make your country better. I realize in some cases some are in life threatening situations seeking asylum. You should only be able to seek asylum if your country is war torn or tyrannical & now that tryanny has arrived here so may as well stay home. No person is illegal but not following a country's law is illegal. Ridiculous I need to explain that. Don't come to USA if you're entering illegally.
Many years ago a friend of mine died of a blood clot after breaking his leg. Went to the hospital and they fixed him up. A cast and crutches. Some meds. He spent the night at his Mom's house. Slept on the living room couch. Next morning his Mom found him dead. Very sad. And unexpected.

Before u start..let me tell you my grandparents came here in the 40's. It took 7 yrs for my grams to get here after my grandfather. They never expected free everything. They both worked very very hard and they loved America. Neither broke the law, Ever! They kept an immaculate home and yard. The American Flag flew in the front yard.

Sheriff Grady is one tough son of a B. He does not take crap from criminals. I wish other law enforcement agencies would take notes from him on how to 1. Properly run their agency 2. How to give a proper press release. 3. Have as much passion for getting these criminals off of our streets and 4. Be great at reaching the public as it pertains to their safety. There is probably a hundred other things people can list in regards to Sheriff Grady. Once again, thank you Sheriff and your team for not only taking your job seriously, but doing so with integrity and honesty.
