    I purchased these even though I don't get a period anymore - I need to review it to see how women in menopause can work with these cards. Thanks for the review.

    in my culture, getting your period is a huge four day celebration that involves various tasks as you transition into womanhood. i never knew menstruation was something that was taught as “shameful” or “gross” and didn’t understand why people were so shocked when i openly discussed it in public. i wish we all were brought up with this mindset. love the deck and it’s beautiful teachings through expression. 💕

    I haven't had my cycles in over 10 years now.. and even though I'm done with them, I still think these cards are beautiful. Would have been nice to have them when I was growing up in the 60's.. can you imagine..?
    I was brought up my Italian nan, and I was told I wasn't allowed to wash my hair when I had my cycle, or talk to any boys...
    I've got a list of don't do's...
    Those cards would have given her a heart attack.... or she would have said a million prayers for me 😂

      I agree. At 36, I was forced into hysterectomy due to fibroids. As a result early menopause and no info about how to deal with it. So I had to educate myself. Anyway I love this deck i think it could be used as an educational tool to familiarize women and girls about female anatomy and hormone cycles. Another fabulous segment! Im really loving this channel.

    I can’t stop thinking about this deck! I saw it for the first time a few days ago and it’s calling to me so hard! Like wow! Going through this walk through makes me realize how much more I want it!! Wow wow wow! There’s nothing like it!

    This was my very first oracle deck and I connected with it right away. I love the artwork and how they depict all types of womens bodies. I always feel like the card I’ve drawn that day is exactly what I need to hear or learn about. And FYI-I still remember that the first card I drew was the luteal phase as well! It sticks out because I had no idea what a luteal phase was at the time!

      While I do like the deck and most oft the art quite a lot ... this is most certainly not true: "they depict all types of womens bodies". At least I can't unearth something that includes TIN (trans, inter, nonbinary) womens' bodies.
      In addition: I guess I'll have to re-watch the video more carefully later ... in order to understand if the guidebook deals with women not menstruating, having unsual cycles, ... and other things that deviate from female body function "norms". Things like that affect more women than folks would assume ... and I wouldn't be comfortable using the deck for others without help from the guidebook in this regard. For folks with uncommon female bodies are affected by additional layers of shame and devaluation.

    This is beautiful, I love how the bodies are portrayed. It seems very nurturing. I'd be curious to see how it could add to a self care or self-reflective tarot and oracle practice. It's so different from any other deck, I'm sure it would be really interesting to use!

    I love this deck and I am a huge fan of the illustrator. I even have one of the her artwork on a wall in my house. I think is a deck that goes even beyond menstruation etc. It can easily be used for daily journaling/message of the day or final message in a tarot reading just like any other deck. I love it and is on sale now :)

    It's my current favorite oracle deck. I used it mostly every morning to know overall energy for the day. It really resonates with me. It fits my hands cause I have small hands lol I love love shuffling the cards. And it's so feminine. I love it. I 💯 suggest it to everyone who loves oracle cards. Thank you to the creators of Sacred Cycles deck. Thank you for this review. They should know about this gorgeous cards. ❤️✨

    Beautiful deck focused on ancient mysterious yin energy- though some cards in the deck make it a bit restricted for use with other people - yet- love this deck sure!!!!!!!! As someone who study biology, attracted more to women and understand the physical yin embodiment, I felt totally gravitated to this one!

    I'm finding that I like the matte finish decks. One of my favorites is The Moon Deck. I like the images and the way it feels in my hands compared to the extra glossy decks.

    Ok so I have the Primordial Tarot and although I felt drawn to it as it was the strongest earthy deck I have seen, I have not been able to work with it in a meaningful way. I just pulled it out and flipped through the cards alongside your flipthrough of this deck... And I think these decks pair beautifully together. The art is very different, but they have an energy that will work together and help each other communicate their messages. I got a lot of synchronicities, including the 2 of coins when you got to the ovaries card. If you have the Primordial Tarot you should try it, or shuffle your oracle deck and find a flipthrough of Primordial and see what you think :) The Sacred Cycles is going on my wish list now.

    Have you had the chance to play around with this deck more after this video? If so, would you say it could be useful for male-identifying people? I am a male (it's me, Alec Belle from Patreon lol) and feel really gravitated toward this deck. But I don't want to feel like I'm intruding on something personal meant for people who have a uterus. What do you think?

    • @WickedMoonlight1
      @WickedMoonlight1  Před 2 lety +5

      Let me play around with it for a bit, but it says it's meant for everyone and I would have to agree. We all could use the education and how to utilize cycles in our lives. The journal prompts alone are great to use

    • @lizhadley3803
      @lizhadley3803 Před 2 lety +7

      @@leyamathews5017 I think some of these images and stages of life could be metaphorical rather than literal. I am childless by choice, so the pregnancy and birth cards don't apply to my physical life. However, there are projects, ideas, and endeavors that have to be conceived, nurtured, and brought to fruition. I think if you find the images appealing, then you should consider buying the deck.

  • @ferrisulf
    @ferrisulf Před 2 lety +2

    I wish there'd been something like this while I was growing up. I grew up in a conservative religious background that tried to keep sex ed to the bare minimum. This would have been great. And look! Stomach rolls, body hair on the pubic area and under the arms! Different body shapes and colors and hair! Also it's all around topics about our bodies that are still, unfortunately, rather taboo. Having had many female health issues from a young age, leading to a hysterectomy in my 20s, I don't feel especially connected to this one. I don't know if this really would work as well for people who don't have cycles.
