I'm a new (want to be pre-k homeschool mom) I love that the book helps you slow down with your child and interact with them ad helping them fill up their up rather then just getting the lesson done. This video makes me much more excited and less overwhelmed of the thought of homeschooling. My daughter will have so much fun with this! This video was so helpful thank you!
I’m considering this. I don’t need it because I’m Montessori trained, but the reason I might is because my daughter doesn’t always want to do the sandpaper letters or numbers. This might be a fun novel way to target the same skills and learn the sounds. I like the picture showing d for donut, which you don’t get with the sandpaper letters. I think if we use both, it will really boost her learning! Plus, I like the idea of learning through music. I had trouble memorizing my multiplication facts as a child, but once my mom made it into a song, I memorized them easily. I think my daughter would enjoy it, so it would be a fun option we could add in once a week.

I have the old curriculum but I just got those games and the cute practice pages. I thought my new 8 year old would enjoy teaching our 4 year old and honestly it’ll be good for both of them!

Wow! Love the folder! We used the old preK with my daughter and it bothered me that it wasn’t very organized, but now this looks so nice! Looking forward to my son using this when the time comes :)

Thanks for sharing this! We just started the old version a few weeks ago and the primer should arrive any day now for us to start once we are done. I can see myself ordering the new version, too, though. It would be great as a review once we are done with the others, or even as a quick summer program before we start the Kindergarten lessons.

Ugh now I want to buy the new one. I tried the old one with my oldest and my middle and we never got more than like 1/2 way through. But this looks so nice!

Our newest baby is born in January and I am already looking forward to doing this with her LOL. I did the older Preschool with our other daughter and we loved it. So excited there are more games and organizers for each! Brilliant.

I was curious what was different between this and the pre k language arts. It's very similar but I like the extra games and practice sheets! We will need to do this next year!
Yes and it's nearly twice as long, 90 lessons in the new one! ;)
My girl is 2 and I really , really want to order already. 😂🤣
When we started homeschooling last year, my youngest 2 (then 1 and 3) wanted to do school with my older children as well. We did the same, Confessions of a Homeschooler and loved it! They are now 2 and 4. This year I'm doing the older TGATB preschool version with my 4-year-old as well as the Gentle and Classical Preschool Curriculum. My 2-year-old listens, colors, and participates also. I bought the older preschool version of TGATB last year, but I also bought the new one! I might save the new one for my youngest next year (but I want to do it now too)! They both quickly picked up on their letters and numbers using LOTW as they LOVE learning! I am very thankful for that curriculum as well as The Good and the Beautiful!

Hi Dina I’m excited to start the pre school curriculum with my daughter this will be our first year homeschooling. When you use the curriculum do you use any of the add on resources ? Or do you just stick to the main curriculum? Just curious I ordered the curriculum was just curious about the add ons they have available to purchase. Thanks!
So between this one and the letters of the week program which one do you prefer I have an almost 4 year old who knows his letters does not know the sounds and cannot write them yet.
Would you recommend doing preschool and k primer in one school year ?

I have just done so, i had already ordered prek but i will use them both anyway. It looked too good to pass🤩. I wonder if the prek primer course is necessary after using the new preschool. It looks like a combination of the two previous levels.
Double check what you ordered! I tried ordering the old version last month but they were sold out weeks before the new one dropped on 8/30. So I'm not sure that you actually ordered the old version the day before. 🙂

They don't espouse specific theology in History either! If you are LDS, you can email them and request a free History extension to use with the main History curricula.

I recently ordered this preschool course to do with my daughter--she's only 2 but she pretty much blew the readiness assessment out of the water for preschool, and even passed the primer k assessment , however I don't want to start too advanced--I think she would enjoy a bit more enrichment. I'm hoping she enjoys it and we can do alittle bit afew days a week.
Does this updated curriculum also have letter hand writing practice as well?
Not that I've seen...but I haven't flipped through every single page.
How does this compare to Letter of the Week curriculum forms COAH??? I’m trying to decide between the 2….
This one is less prep and storage. And the letters don't last the whole week. So in LOW you're getting more exposure to the letters. BUT in TGTB, the letter sounds are taught through visual, audio, and games.
We love both! So we use both. Lol!

This would definitely be a good place to start with a 3 yr old. It might be too advanced for a 2 yr old depending on your child. But Preschool from TGTB is a great place to start! 😁❤️

Sorry! I just saw this comment. 🤦 The workbook is pretty consumable. You might be able to use it for two kiddos, but you'll have to get creative. Another option is to buy the PDF and just print out what you need. Hope this helps!

How old should my kid be to start?
It really depends on your child. They could be anywhere from 3 to 5 or 6. I usually start mine around 4 and then follow their lead.
Does the good and the beautiful have a pre k math?
No. The their Pre-K level has basic math skills. Number recognition, etc.
