Who do you personally consider to be the greatest band of all time?
Queen, of course!! "Bohemian Rhapsody"; "Who wants to live forever"
"Fat Bottom Girls"
"On the Radio"
Really too many to name
For me personally it's Led Zeppelin hands down. âźïž
Going back a bit further..check out Them "Gloria" or Moody Blues "Knights in White Satin"
So many great bands. For 1970âs Gentle Giant âThree Friendsâ for 1990âs and still playing Aryeon (Universe Live) Polo, once you hear this you will be hooked. Arjen Lucassen is a genius. Try the âThe Day The World Breaks Downâ, video on CZcams. I guarantee you will be gobsmacked!
Too many great ones to have only one. Notables include Zeppelin, Rush, Yes, Beatles of course, Stones, Jimi Hendrix, a few others.
No one, and I mean NO ONE sings Babe like Robert Plant.
The Lemon Song is no lemon. JPJ is supersonic, Bonham is incredible, Page is great, Plant is beyond words.
One of the greatest bass lines ever recorded. The whole song is a masterclass. Great reaction.
You Shook Me
Just remember Polo⊠If there was no Zeppelin there would be no Tool, Zep is the root of all hard rock!
if you don't see the inspiration Zep provided everywhere, you've probably not done enough homework.
Kind of a random comparison. Tool is a niche-band with limited commercial success and even less influence.
Amazing bass playing by a brilliant keyboard player, bass and guitar visionary and composer: The Great John Paul Jones.
Tool is your favorite and Led Zeppelin is your top five... you're young. If you haven't figured it out by now, if there was no Led Zeppelin, there would be no Tool or any of the other bands that you might recognize that came out in the 80s or later. No disrespect to you, I am a fan of your channel.
Meh .. different times. Zeppelin is clearly a big influence on Tool.
Obviously since Tool covered No Quarter... â@@WilliamViets
Masterclass in Letting a song breathe.
Best band ever Led Zeppelin
I will never get tired of listening to Led Zeppelin. đ
John Paul Jones is a bass wizard, lol!
Ten years gone check it out
JPJ and Bonzo are a perfect pair. Zep is hard to hate.
More like impossible. ;)
Led Zep are so freaking good I just laugh at how good they are đ
John Paul Jones, driving baseline totally makes that songâ€
This is one of my favorite John Paul Jones songs for Led Zeppelin. Guitar, drums and vocals are amazing as usual, but the bass makes this song walk, run and groove.
Let's get the LED OUT!!
Best band ever! For the next 1000 years!
Ten Years Gone is my favorite songs...any band. I know you'll love it.
â€â€â€Robertâ€â€â€
đ„đ„đšđ
ZEPPELIN RULES!!! Awesome reaction, Polo!
This is definitely a song where JPJ stepped out of the background with the bass and shined bright. He and Bonham on drums are so in-tune it's like a left hand and a right hand working in sync.
THE GREATEST BAND EVER HANDS DOWN !!!â€đ
the ultimate rock blues song is still " You Shoock Me" give it a listen
My favorite driving song!
To be clear: we're talking Led Zeppelin's You Shook Me, as opposed to AC/DC's. Not to hate on AC/DC, but the songs two aren't interchangeable.
"YOU SHOOK ME" a great blues song Zep does....
I love LZâs You Shook Me, it shows all of there talents, keyboard & harmonica etc.
no way
There is No bad Zeppelin jam!â€ïžâđ„đđ„°âŁïž
This gives Jones time to shine. Like the whole song.
The critics at the time didnât like them because they werenât traditional. They wanted to hear standard blues and not âtaking the blues, twisting it and turning on its headâ like Jimmy said.
The whole song is a gem, but itâs Plantâs vocal instrument that really makes it work.
Love love love this song, one of my all-time favorites.
There is no bandwagoning when it comes to being a zep fan, or enjoying them. They were, and in some ways still are, the biggest rebel indy band ever. They were huge in spite of critics and media. And the master class and maturity in their playing and composition just says man, you appreciate greatness. That's all. Don't worry about perception.
You shook me is another absolute banger blues song with one of the most iconic solo sections on any zeppelin track
Led Zeppelin transcends music genre, jazz blues rock whatever they always do it well
You Shook Me Baby and Babe I'm Gonna Leave You đ„đ„
My favorite lyrics in this is âsqueeze me baby till the juice runs down my leg, the way you squeeze my Lemmon till I fall right out of bedâđ€Ł I love it, classic led zepp
Lemon. Youâre thinking of John Lemmon who was a member of the Fruatles
@@MarcosElMalo2đ
One of my fave JPJ bass songs!
Blues boogie rock brought to you by Zeppelin!
Such a fun one. Best band ever â€
They took blues ( old blues missippi ) to another level they went to the crossroads like robert
Led Zeppelin of course â€
There are points where everyone runs off and chaos ensues my favorite is when it all walks back into line.
Greatest Band Ever!
Thanks for more Led Zeppelin â€
JPJ đ„đ„
POLO- the first time I heard this was in person in concert in â69. I was a blushing teen and was shocked!
This is yet another blues classic.
i never figured anyone would react to the lemon song lmfao. squeeze my lemon!!!!
Til the juice runs down my leg! đ
Everyone has reacted to this.
This is why Led Zeppelin II is their best album. Such a great comment on the individual instruments and concentrating on them....I love bass and this is a Master Class in that, but of course the rest is fantastic too, of course.
One of my favorite Led Zeppelin songs, off of my favorite Led Zeppelin album.
Now ya gotta listen to their other " citrus" song 'Tangerine'.....beautiful tune âïž
...my absolute favorite Zeppelin song. Got my first speeding ticket to this song. Great pick. Great vid.
Before there was Tool there was Led Zeppelin.
Led Zeppelin is foundational to most rock sound since.
Elvis Presley met them. He had an entire floor at a hotel and Zeppelin was invited to meet him there. Zeppelinâs crowds were bigger than Elvisâ crowds, at this point, but he was the King. You should see the story of when they met!
Donât think âfoundationalâ is a real word
@@WilliamViets Per Oxford Dictionary...foun·da·tion·al
/founËdÄSH(É)nÉl/
adjective
denoting an underlying basis or principle; fundamental.
Presley's shows all sold out in the 70s. Elvis and Zep were the two top touring acts in the country during that period; they had the same booking agent.
**** The only part of Tool that is Any Good At All I the drummer. Otherwise, completely worthless.
@@WilliamVietsyou mustâve been home schooled in the south. farm boy is illiterate
Like many or most Zeppelin songs, you have to listen to it a couple times and key your ears in to specific instruments. The bass in this is amazing throughout the entire song. Sometimes gets overshadowed or overwhelmed by lead guitar.
I love how you feel when listening to my favorite band since 1969â€
The lyrics here are a grab bag of blues lyrics just thrown together. Even the infamous Squeeze my Lemon segment. Musically brilliant. Great feel.
Squeeze my lemon til the juice runs down my leg!đ
đ
"Leave my children down on this killing floor" is literally what happens after the juice runs down his leg.
The mighty Led Zeppelin at it once again, taking old blues songs and turning them into listenable blues-rock masterpieces like this one.
The middle part was pure funk.
The bass in this song is everything to me! đ„
Polo --- I have to laugh because you want to think you are in control of the music you BELIEVE you are going to like or not like and that just isn't the case with music that Led Zeppelin created. As Rod Serling creator of the TV show The Twilight Zone says in the intro to the show, You are no longer in control your mind is no longer yours, you've entered The Twilight Zone.
I was paraphrasing, not quoting.
With Led Zeppelin you are along for a ride and at first you think you don't like it, it's not fun, it's not what you want to hear, but you are already rolling down the pathway and you can't jump off and then that feeling of not liking the ride turns to wonder and then you start to enjoy the ride, you roll the window down and you are moving faster and you want your seatbelt but there is no seatbelt. You are thrilled and laughing at your excitement that you've never been in a vehicle that you are either going to crash and get hurt or you're gonna have the ride of your life if you just take it in and enjoy the ride.
This had me thinking of the Willy Wonka tunnel boat scene. đ
@@003333333333 --- hahahaha, that is funny. You are right,. It is very much that same kind of ride.
After the boat ride Veruca Salt's father said "what a nightmare"
And Veruca says she definitely doesn't want that boat, after saying she wants the boat before they go into the tunnel.
Mike Teevee's mom keeps saying she's gonna get sick. Lol
I like this metaphor. I agree with it. I'm also glad you let me roll down my window because I might want a cigarette. With LZ, I know the roads well enough that I don't want a seatbelt. I just bounce around.
@@christianmarler2253 ---- I like having the window open as well.
Squeeze my lemon is originally a Robert Johnson line > Mississippi Delta Blues artist> Traveling Riverside Blues , Also quoted Albert King's Killing Floor
great comment at 5:38 The sign of a great band when you can focus in on every one of the members. Kinda like Tool! Also the "squeeze my lemon" lyric goes all the way back to 1937 in songs by Arthur McKay and Robert Johson. Robert Plant is a student of the Delta Blues!
You can tell from their ease in playing it that this song is Zep's stock-in-tade type of noise. They lay it down with such confidence that you can almost physically hear that they know the blues inside out. I wouldn't be surprised if this number took them about 5 minutes to write and perhaps 2-3 takes to record. It just oozes, "this is where I'm at".
JPJ makes it soo easy to focus on that bass line. He just doesnât stop. What a romance - he buys us dinner & drinks, courts us, and proposes all in one single song. â„ïž
Iâve been listening to them since about 1972. Driving to school in my 1967 Mustang. Great times!!
Bonham ALWAYS laid down such a masterful beat, didnât he? Every song different but with its own high points - done masterfully by artists of music.
JPJ and bonham make it so funky. Killing floor is an all time classic blues track that so many bands and artists covered it but Zeppelin tooktit to another level
When alone in my car (so as to not traumatize my family), I always try to replicate Robertâs âBaaaaeeebeâ at 4:27 đ đ I fail, and thatâs why I keep trying. đ đ
Favoritest JPJ basswork ever.
This song and album transports me back to my early teen years, it was one of those 8 tracks that got constant play
Gotta try fool in the rain!
Siempre me gustĂł. Y

I LOVE BLUESâ€â€â€ LZ
glad you are enjoying all their songs !
Babe Iâm gonna leave you
Best rock band ever!!! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđRIP John Bonham!!
I have been listening to LZ since I'm 14 & my older brother got a guitar & all of their albums. I stumbled across your video reacting to Led Zeppelin & was amazed that your reactions made me emote out loud. Like YES!!! That's exactly what I felt. It's impossible for me to choose just one song to recommend although I've probably thought way too much about that. I'm along for the ride at this point. â
More Zeppelin please
ya mon, it's the rhythm section that is the foundation... gives guitar and voice a launching point. Heaven!
One of my favourite LZ songs, if nothing else because of the virtuoso performances from all of them and the wonderful changing rhythms.
â€one of my favorites
Excellent walking bass and tone from John Paul Jones .
Oh, BOY - I can't WAIT for THIS ONE!!! :) HAPPY FRIDAY, POLO!!! :)
"This is very similar to a Blues song by Howlin' Wolf called "Killing Floor." It was so similar, Wolf was eventually given a composer credit. On the original British copies of Led Zeppelin II, the label on the record lists "Killing Floor" as the third track and is credited to Chester Burnett (Howlin' Wolf's real name), while the liner lists "The Lemon Song" and credits Led Zeppelin"
Iâm pretty sure this is my all time favorite Zeppelin song
All their elements and tricks are in this song.
Polo, you once said you like bass. Some good bass playing with this number.
I've seen Robert Plant 3xs at various stages of his career.. He's always been amazing. He's a rock god and can summon it at will. Keep on going down this rabbit hole.†I forget if you've checked out "Bring it on home""a true Zeppelin classic.
Carry the Fire By Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters
PAGE IS THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER FOR ME! THEIR SONGS ARE MPS FOR SURE!
Yo! My all-time favorite Zepplin song. Off of my first-ever album. (Christmas in 4th grade. Thanks, Dad.) This is the song that got me to buy a bass when all my friends were buying guitars in high school.
Old white man from Canada here. Love to the world and you, my friend. They say I'm evil but all I have in my heart is the music of my time. We listened to music back then, the whole side at a time. Looking back I would never imagine the world would be like this. God help us all. They say we treated women poorly too. Try the rock ballads. Alice Cooper only women bleed. We saw women as loving and mysterious.â€
You're not old.
Robert wasn't high out of his mind...... He was/is just that đ cool
Hey great reaction. Can you please react to "Ten years gone" and "Achilles last stand" by Zeppelin great songs. Keep up the great work. Peace
If it wasn't a great song Zeppelin wouldn't release it.
Who tells an iconic elite artist .. your art sucks .. pretty sure they would
love to see your art. Page is another level.
Not true, most of "In Through The Out Door" sucks...
@@MarlowQAI it went no. 1 everywhere but yes it was the last album of a hard ride ... fools in the rain .. great tune .. the 70's had run its course but a successful release nonetheless.. hate, hate , hate . đ€Ł
@@MarlowQAI Don't agree at all.
This is a creative cover of âKilling Floorâ by Howlinâ Wolf which was originally released in 1964.
I went to sign up to sell my soul to the devil..the only things left were flower arranging, racewalking, and the panflute..The only explanation for this otherworldly kind of music is the guys from Led Zeppelin were on line EARLY.. .well im off to Peru w my panflute
You should play every single song you can get approved to air. Thanks one of my favorite songs of Zeppelins.
Seen them twice. Try a group called Blue Cher. Summertime blues. You will love it.
Yay! another Led Zep review by Polo! You need to review the entire 1st and 2nd album to get your mind blown. Just giving some great advice to you as a Zep fan since 1970. đ
Listen to robin trower - bridge of sigh
â€â€â€â€â€
My 1A and 1B favorite bands are Zeppelin and Tool. Good taste bro. They're just SO much better than every other band. Both bands, everyone in the band is sick at what they do.
Led Zeppelin is genius. Period. Even if youâre down on the slow blues. Lol.đ
The Mighty Zep...strikes again! :)
you have to listen the killing floor...The song â The Lemon Songâ appeared on the 1969 album Led Zeppelin II. The song was born out of Howlin Wolf's song â Hard Time Killing Floorsâ which Zepplin performed in their live shows in the late 60s
"juice runs down my leg" (8:00) is a Bob Dylan reference (or possibly vice versa?) Where Are You Tonight? (Journey Through Dark Heat)
âŠâŠ my favorite Zep tune â€ïžđžđ„
Tool & Zeppelin both reference lemon in their lyrics in 2 totally different meanings đđ€Łđ
đđđ
john paul and bozo were dueling up a storm then plante and jimmy were dueling awsome is what that was, awsome
