At the end of the day if you're smelling good you're already ahead of 98% of the population. No women I've ever met is gonna be like "oh that scent is nice but I think I would prefer if it were more floral". Most popular colognes are great scent choices and the fact that you took the time to dress nice and make sure you smell good will be plenty enough for almost every single woman you go out with.
I think based on the video situation it is an easy win for BDC since it is daylight which fits the BDC characteristics - fresher. LNDL perform better for a night occasion and colder environment.

I have both. I’d wear La Nuit before Chanel. Can’t go wrong with either, but the La Nuit is the choice for me.
Problem is it's a hot day BDC will always win. In the evening or colder weather I think there would be more votes for YSL.

Nice to see the Bleu De Chanel EDT making a bit of a comeback. To me...it's just a magic for me. I love it...The only problem is that it becomes a skin scent after 2 hours. The opening is just a thing of beauty. The "good" thing is that you can over spray it a bit. It's really nice for warmer weather.
That’s a shame! It still work wonders for me! Picking up another 5oz bottle tomorrow! But these bleu de Chanel’s all smell better after time and maceration! Give it time

BDC parfum is the best out of all the BDC
Bleu de Chanel is absolutely timeless!!! La Nuit de L’Homme is amazing but almost too light. I have both and Chanel is my go to, but both are bangers!!! Can’t go wrong either way.

Interesting to see them describing BdC as being strong. I have samples of both and I find the Chanel(EDP version) to be very faint and only lasting 2-3 hours. LNDL even though it's the weaker, reformulated version, lasted all day and even got me compliments.

@@BeatstormX it does for sure. Just because EDP and Parfum have higher concentration does NOT mean they have better performance and/or longevity. Everything about the fragrances composition changes when different ratios are used and there are different interactions, all of which affect performance.
BDC Parfum is actually has the weakest performance and longevity. The EDT is _very, very_ slightly better than the EDP but it’s very minor.
And this is a rule in general, not just for Bleu de Chanel.
I remember when YSL useto be sooo strong like I could smell it on my cloths for over a week ...never thought the YSL would ever be a 'weak' fragrance!!!
YSL Y is still pretty strong.
YSL the original is my favorite but it is to impress a lady but lady's like BDC as well so you cannot go wrong with any.
So I've been on the BDC edt train for a long time because it was my first fragrance...i was never interested in the BDC edp, as I assumed it would be a redundant buy as they are similar....my local store had a Father's Day which saw the 50ml BDC go for an amazing deal....i decided to bite the bullet and purchased it..... and I can 100% confidently say that the EDP smells so much better. It's only now that I realize that the EDT smells too zesty and citrusy, and does not perform well. The EDP smells much more refined and classy.

I strongly suggest the parfum version. That one is even way better than the EDP, albeit very expensive. That one is the most sophisticated/classiest in my opinion, more smooth, rich woods.

Love the Bleu de Chanel EDT, more that Bleu de Chanel EDP. The Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, and Bleu de Chanel EDT, is the Two Chanel Fragrance that I Have.
I actually own both and for some reason I don't wear them often because of the extreme 🔥🥵 weather here. These don't work in warmer temperatures.
More for cooler/breezy weather.
Far as my favorite that a tough one.
Bleu comes close but I have been a YSL fan for many years so there fragrance always a winner 🏆

It seems like Bleu de Chanel u should use during the daytime, and YSL LNDL use it at night/date night.

2. Predict the weather those ladies are in (looks like a hot weather)
3. Which are the competitors (Channel BDC & YSL LDL)
4. Where the opinion is being taken (on a random street in the day time)
5. Which is more appropriate for the given weather (Channel is citrusy, woody, musky smell vs. YSL LDL is a bit spicy night time light close encounter smell )

I have both. La Nuit best fragrance ever.
Definitely Bleu de Chanel but the Eau de Parfum because the DNA is just beautiful powerful masculine scent which has some of my favourite notes that make it smell woody and citrusy at the same time
Both are amazing scents I adore both but I have had more complaints from YSL than Channel 😊
I wear La Nuit de L'Homme as my office scent, the amount of compliments I have had are crazy. I go machine gun style with it, 16 sprays average. I have 2 bottles of 200mL, one at home and the other one in my desk, every 2-3 hours 4-5 sprays to refresh it and that's it! EASY PEASY! ;)

I went into Macy’s with all the hype, smelled Bleu De Chanel and colored with disappointed because the scent was unappealing.

Really no contest here. Bleu de chanel is a truly incredible scent especially in edp form. Just wish they lasted a bit longer. It would be 10 out of 10 perfection then.

BDC smells like high quality, but it doesn’t project or last long. La Nuit is better overall and it’s the sexiest out of the two.

My bottle of BDC is running out and I would like to replace it with another fragrance..I have not tired of it but my GF has .. she says too many in her circle wear it , including her older male relatives and she prefers I don’t smell like her uncles..
Chanel Allure Homme is nice if you want a similar fragrance DNA but with a bit more sweetness. Grab the Sport version if you like more fresh citrus vibes.

I love both of them but in the different occasion. In daytime or hot weather BDC is the winner. BUT in night time or date ,LNDL is the King.

Is it possible that Bleu only one because of the context in which the question was asked (outdoor, sunny day) so the casual atmosphere called for a casual scent?

Love them both. Personally like YSL LNDL better in regards to EDT's. Though I like the edp of BDC better than the EDP of YSL LNDL
can you please do more tests with people. This small sample size is not enough to determine a winner. Minimum it has to be first to 10

1 spray is the max I can use, otherwise, I start sneezing. As well, my kitten doesn't wanna come near me while I'm wearing any fragrance, so I gotta respect that and use colognes very moderately. C'est la vie!

They are meant to be worn in very different situations. I’m not sure this was a good comparison.
The new batches of BDC EDT are very weak. I love the smell but it doesn't last and doesn't project. I've had a bottle for about a year I'm hoping it will get a bit stronger with age. Better options out there

Bleu De Chanel is like hands down the best overall fragrance out there.
I don't like sweet notes so I prefer Bleu de Chanel. I have Bleu de Chanel EDT, EDP, and parfum so I don't like the parfum version due to the sweet.

After all the fuss I ponied up for Bleu De Chanel and I just don't get it. It's probably just me but I feel like I bought a high dollar nuthin' burger. after ten minutes I have to put my nose right on my arm to smell it. I thought it was just me but my wife couldn't smell it until she did the same. As far as the aroma goes it smells like women's makeup.

You should do one with Versace Eros EDT and YSL EDP. I recently bought YSL and have gone through two bottles, but I don’t see the hype. Maybe it doesn’t wear well on my skin. I never get compliments. Eros smells good all day.

This versus it's so unfair. IMHO, the sweetie/fugacious "La Nuit de L'homme" it has nothing to do against the elegant "Bleu de Chanel".
It smells good when first applied but after the dry down after a few hours it begans to smell like granny perfume
