The pyramid at Luxor Resort in Las Vegas, with its beam of light, provides a striking visual even on the overtly glamorous Las Vegas Strip. One of the most recognizable structures in Las Vegas, the 30-story pyramid - an architectural wonder - invites curiosity, while the inside rewards visitors with equal parts excitement, mystery and intrigue.
Under the beam lies a dazzling convergence of 4400 well-appointed guest rooms from standard to elegant suites, 10 restaurants, 6 shows and exhibits, 2 incredible pools and a spa. You'll never want to leave!
Hotel rooms at Luxor Resort bring an eye of style to the pyramid. With an elegant touch, many rooms feature an open aired closet, work space and renovated bathroom. Slanted walls give you a true sense of life inside a pyramid.
The suites at Luxor range in variety in almost as much variety as you can find in the cuneiform symbols that cover ancient Egypt. Our suites come with flat screen TVs, separate dining areas complete with fridge & wet bar, as well as soaking tub for total relaxation in your room.
Few resorts anywhere offer entertainment as diverse as Luxor, where you can enjoy the euphoric and colorful celebration of life with Blue Man Group, the first live action thriller R.U.N by Cirque du Soleil, laugh out loud at the award-winning prop comedy of Carrot Top; or capture the gorgeous dancers, talented vocals and fresh choreography of Fantasy.

I realized a simple reason why I like your channel more than others; you don’t talk to the camera in crowded public places. CZcamsrs delivering a full monologue while people uncomfortably look at the camera like “uhh am I gonna be on CZcams” always gives me secondhand embarrassment. I think you present really well in your hotel room and your editing doesn’t make it boring. Good stuff!

I do more public narration in other cities, but you're right, it's tough in Vegas because of the large crowds, loud music everywhere, and overall noise pollution.

Ive stayed at plenty of best westerns and holiday inns in my day. Every hotel in vegas, even those looked down on like luxor and excalibur, is technically a major luxury resort. Theyre all pretty solid, and for the money those two cost its even nicer. Ive got offers for 4 free nights at excalibur and 3 at luxor even on sapphire level. For being 24 and on a young adult budget I think the 35 dollar resort fee a night is the best value anywhere, and im still in all the fun

@@CurlyyCS I'm sapphire too. I splurged for one night at the Bellagio this past April. $170. for a 18th floor fountain view. I barely gambled any there. Saw O while we were there. Spent the rest of our trip at the Luxor. I'm already receiving offers for 4 free nights at Bellagio for the past 2 months. Tip: charge every single thing possible to your room, food, shows, little store with the snacks, etc. This will increase your offers. Plus more opportunity to receive comps when you check out.

Great review as always! I think Luxor is the best value on the strip. Thanks for the entry level room review. Diablo’s is awesome and reasonably priced and it’s so cool to eat in that huge lobby. Coolist, you have been to the finest in Vegas and I so appreciate and respect you give non 4 and 5 star properties fair and balanced reviews. Given your experience in Vegas it would be so easy for you to say that every place in Vegas other than the Wynn and and Bellagio and the Palazzo sucks. But given that experience, your opinion carries a lot of weight when you say lesser properties and restaurants and bars are nice.

Well I thought it was on par with Excalibur in terms of furnishing and such when I went, but since I've heard that they moved some of the older Bellagio furniture over to the Luxor. Those rooms look nice! Agreed, it's a weekend hotel, then you just move over to something classy for the weekdays if you're staying for longer than a weekend. Great review as always. :)

I turned 21 just two months after the Luxor opened in 1993 and it was absolutely spectacular at that time. It was such an awesome property with a "Nile River" water ride you could go on. I love the Egyptian theme. Now there are tons of incredible properties to enjoy in Vegas but at the time this place opened it was spectacular. Great review.

I went to Vegas in May and spent 1 night at Luxor, 3 nights at palazzo, and 2 nights at Delano. I had comp nights and that’s why we jumped around to hotels. I definitely think you’re right about the pool at Luxor’s pool being better because it’s more spaced out. Mandalay Bay was so packed and not much space. Luxor also has a deli by the sports book that has really good tater tots when they actually have them in stock.

Your review is fair - there's not enough food places and casino floor is limited. But I think the one thing you miss about the Luxor are the entertainment choices. Comedian Carrot Top is the top-rated comedy show in Vegas - he's very funny and silly, and he changes his shows regularly so if you've seen him before you will enjoy seeing him a second time. The Titanic exhibit is very cool and interesting to see (I haven't seen the Bodies exhibit). They've added a King Tut exhibit as well (that's too new to be included in your video). Blue Man Group also plays there, but I'm not a big fan of that. Comparing it to the fancy and super expensive strip properties it obviously falls short of those. I disagree with your calling it a bad location - Mandalay Bay and Excalibur are tied together with a free tram you can use, and it's also in an area with lots of other casinos such as the NY-N and MGM Grand (which is where the Monorail starts). Center strip is probably ideal, but Luxor is MUCH better than the location of the North-end casinos that are far far away from each other. Maybe for high-rollers it's a disappointment, but for us average tourists without unlimited funds to spend, it is one of the better places to stay. That's just my opinion.

Staying in a Luxor tower suite was a great experience for me, especially with the MLife discounts. I paid $150 per night for a HUGE suite: 1 1/2 bathrooms, wet bar w. fridge, living area, two TVs, dining area, separate bedroom with doors for additional privacy, shower, dual vanity sinks, walk-in shower with separate soaking tub. And the entire tower was very quiet.

I'm going to stay in the Tower at the Luxor in a month after watching your video as I'm a cheap skate and don't mind walking. The El Gordo will be my first drink. Only my second trip to Vegas (I'm from NZ so a little far away), but you have given me a great insight into a lot of places I want to eat and drink at through watching all your videos. You are very easy to watch and listen to compared to many others who just try too hard. Looking at trying either Jean Georges or Carbone at Aria after watching your Vdara video and a few drinks at Skybar with my mates is on the cards. Keep them videos coming mate. You must be due for another trip to Vegas soon. If you run out of ideas for different places for content, contemplate AC, Biloxi or Macau (basically anywhere with a bunch of hotel casinos) as I would happily watch.

We stayed at the Luxor in May and enjoyed it with the exception of 2 things: Most of the pools were closed when we went, meaning the one that was open was overcrowded and gross. The pool with the waterfall was closed the entire time we were there. I was also surprised at the lack of any shade. The other issue was housekeeping. Trying to get the room done up was an exercise in futility. I am sure they are having the same staffing shortages as everyone, but even after making a phone call to housekeeping, most days it wasn't done. At a certain point you need the trash emptied, new towels and toilet paper.
We normally stay at the Venetian and I have to say, we missed the more luxurious environment and the numerous restaurants to choose form, but we needed to book a couple of room and in this economy, the Luxor has a good deal.

I just got home from a 10 day trip through Nevada and Arizona, we stayed in Vegas from Feb 10 to the 14th and we choose to stay at the Luxor, we also had a room in one of the towers, didn't regret it at all I loved it. I didn't find the location too bad overall it was about a 15-20 minute walk non stop to the Bellagio one night to see the fountain show. I did go and and see the Blue Man Group during my time there which I loved and I also chose to go and see the Bodies and Titanic exhibits during my stay and they are absolutely worth it too, I do recommend a strong stomach for the Bodies exhibit and probably not a good idea to go see it if your planning on having a steak for dinner later. And the Titanic exhibit exceeded my expectations for sure with all the artifacts they had from the wreck site. But if you bundle and buy tickets to see any 2 exhibitions you will save a lot of money versus just buying them individually. Considering how good Bodies and Titanic were I would have seen the King Tut one too but I didn't have enough time so that'll have to be for my next Vegas trip. I don't drink so unfortunately I can't comment on that but the legal weed in the local vicinity is extremely expensive. All in all, great trip and great hotel I loved it and will recommend it to others.

The Luxor is one of our favorite places to stay when in Vegas, due to the value you get. Been staying there since it opened back in the 90's. Like you mentioned, the one small downfall is the location. It is far from the other attractions/concert venues on the rest of the strip.

I think the review is spot on. Certainly not the greatest property but if you're looking for a decent stay that's pretty cheap its not bad. It's also connected to Mandalay Bay and the Mandalay Bay shoppes so you can easily enjoy dining and the bars at that property as well.

Congratulations you picked a great machine those 3 reels are the best and I too just try a hundred to see if it’s ready or I move on. Overall the casino is pretty tight on the regular floor not a place us in the slot community choose to play or stay but thanks for the update it’s been awhile since anyones done a video on this place. One more thing never stay in the pyramid tower it’s old and the A/c is old and does not work as someone posted about last week.

I had to go back and see what brewery that kilt lifter was from. There’s a semi local brewery (to me) called Moylan’s here in Northern California that also has a beer called kilt lifter. Delicious brew for sure. I always wondered what you would think of Luxor, given that it’s a step down from your usual spots. My wife wants to stay here so I’ve wondered what it would be like. I’ve read opinions all over the map from a go-to spot all the way down to a spot to avoid at all costs. I think this seems to be geared towards people who want to do Vegas on a budget, but still have a good time.

Living in vegas it is nice to see some options for pool days and or nights out without considering the room quality or the proximity to CVS/Walgreens. Of course, our staycations are always during the week. I agree with the assessment of the room rates $217 for any day (except NYE perhaps) at Luxor is ridiculous.
One observation: Kudos to you for not watching you eat and just showing the meal. It is ridiculous to watch YTs stuff their mouth with food. I have noticed some of the vegas foodTubers have limited their onscreen eating as well. Way to start a trend!
Two ideas: A) In addition to your overall ranking you could sub-rank in the following: 1) Room, 2) Pool, 3) Dining, 4) Energy.
    B) I would like to see a video summarizing the relative "value" of the different vegas properties.
Looking forward to more content from you. Will be sure to say hi if I see you about town.

That room rate of $ 217 is NOT the typical rate. You must have been there at a time where there was something special going on in Vegas (Maybe a Raiders game?) But I DO agree with your comment about food reviews - just show us the food and we'll make our decisions off of that.

My wife and I have stayed at the Luxor several times but the last we were there we were disappointed. Our room was run down and had other issues. However it appears that they have remodeled the pyramid rooms. From the photos they look really nice now. We may give the Luxor a second chance.

Imo, Luxor is a great budget hotel. Last December my fiancé and I had three nights comped, two from my vegas account and the last night from my significant other.
It got the job done for what we needed, for the money it's a good value property.

I would agree w/you 3 and 3 man. I would also add the elevators were terrible. I stayed in the pyramid suite and going up and down the elevators on that side were horrible. I advise everyone to stay in the tower suites. Also Tender steak house has the weirdest Hrs seemed like they weren’t ever open during my day 27Jun-30Jun. MGM had a great offer up to a 4Day all Comped,15 Casino Credit and 50 resort credit. Ended up paying about 119 for 4 days 3nights there all resort fees🤙🏾. Love your videos.

I have a soft spot for the Luxor because my mother is Libyan. I prefer the north side, the Wynn properties. We are staying at the palazzo for the sphere opening to avoid F1, but I really want to stay in the pyramid. It’s cheap and we expect a room to that price point, but we will do this-regardless of the ghosts, creepy hallways or shaky inclinators. Thanks for this review.

I stated in the West tower, and liked the room itself. However, the adjoining room door allows you to hear EVERYTHING in the next room. Also, the hotel was WAY too slow responding to a dog in a neighboring room barking like crazy. One other thing - they have closed off the parking garage. Had to search for WAY too long for a parking space on the upper level.

Think it's kind of cool for the rooms in the pyramid, you can see out in the casino area just outside your room! Been over a decade since I've stayed there but I don't recall hearing any noise from that area while in my room (cool architecture to make it so the sound from the casino area somehow bounces up but not towards the rooms). Also cool was the "elevators" or inclanators (sp?) as they call them (since it's a pyramid inside as well, the elevators have to go up at an angle). Only a few years younger than the Excalibur but imho they've kept up the renovations (while the Excalibur, even with the reno'd rooms has aged badly imho). But again, just my opinion. Someone else might feel different.

I'm old enough to remember - LAX Nightclub - at Luxor, just a few years ago. I'm surprised they didn't bring it back. They didn't fall into the trap of overpriced Celebrity DJs.. Just ran house DJ I recall. It helped bring some energy to that one corridor at night.

I'm staying at the Luxor for 6 nights. I plan on spending the majority of my time between The Areas of Park Mgm And Mandalay Pay. I like playing mostly at Excalibur and Luxor. I just do better on the slots. And the crowd and employees are nicer. Not stuck up likegm Grand, Bellagio or Aria.
