Our day shopping, I tried to walk the mall without using a wheelchair.

Hello Sara, it's good that you are highlighting the trials and tribulations of being out shopping with a disability. I dread crowds as I feel overwhelmed and extremely vulnerable. Due to my MS sight loss, I really struggle to navigate through the heaving throngs and often get bashed about. This also happens when I am holding onto someone's arm. People simply cut in front or push by me. I could use a white cane but I am self conscious of showing my vulnerability as I have had previous experiences of being abused. In a crowded environment, ones' senses are on overload and any enjoyment to be had is often diluted. I miss being able to browse a shop on my own as I am dependent on others to describe stuff to me. Even that can be exhausting. I literally feel alone in a crowd. I feel like I am invisible to everyone. Do you feel emotionally shattered after being in a crowded environment? Sadly a lot of people are inconsiderate or wrapped up in their own world but I still try and carry a smile everywhere I go.. always be kind to yourself Sara and everyday treat yourself!! ♥️

Yes, I can walk at a consistent pace in a straight line but if I am cut off, have to inch along or change directions I am shot fast! so being in a crowd is the worst! I am also afraid of being bumped into as I would be easy to topple and using a walking stick doesn't seem to help make people more aware either

Yes it’s frustrating. I am still surprised at how easily I can fall. Just today I was doing some simple cleaning and lost my balance and fell and was like “what the heck!!” I was not hurt just frustrated. I appreciate you so much and love all your comments ❤️❤️

@@SaraslivingwithMS I fell flat on my face leaving a restaurant that looked level in the shade but one block was about an 1/4 inches protruding , I can't believe I was the only to have an issue

So exciting to get out and about! I have been frustrated when people are not considerate of those who have difficulty while walking, with or without a cane. I would have chosen the wheelchair too.

I have similar leg and foot spacticity and walking issues. I appreciate your candor about living with this type of disability. It is extremely frustrating and tiring and sometimes it is just nice to hear how someone else is going through these similar frustrations. Thank you for sharing your story.

You are amazing! This may be random...but do you get more fatigued with weather changes? Even with small storms that come through...I notice that my Provigil/Nuvigal stops working if the barometric pressure is dropping. It's so odd. I always look forward to your videos. Are you on any other social media?

Thank you so much for the support!! It means so much. I am sorry, I have not heard of that medication. I have heard that the barometric pressure can have an affect on us. Definitely the temperature for me. I wish you well ❤️
