Lovley lecture, using double retractions is so useful and make the crown cementation and seat so perfect,
But the problem with dentistry in general to reach to the correct and perfect procedure it take time and alot of previous sacrifices that you need to fix later…😢

Brilliant tips. How do you decide the size of the second retraction cord?

I have been taking many of your CE courses with Glidewell Dental
    and of course enjoyed them.
My question with the 2 cord technique if you are using a 1E or 2E cord
on the top, is there ever a need to place that cord in hemodent. I would think not
so when would soaking in Hemodent be needed???? Also do you ever find it difficult
to remove the OO cord if you are keeping it in until after the provisional is cemented?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi. I have some questions. How to take care of the bio temps at home. Can I use whitening totpaste or hyrodegn peroxide? Did the bio temps stain easily?

Brush your Biotemps in the same manner that you would clean your own natural teeth. Floss them identical to your natural teeth but try to remove the floss outwards towards the face of the tooth and not back through the contact of the tooth to avoid pulling the provisional off completely. We do not recommend the use of whitening toothpastes or peroxide. Aside from the inability of a whitening agent to whiten a Biotemp, these products can etch the glaze of the Biotemp and leach into the porous surface underneath. Other things to avoid that may degrade the appearance of the Biotemps are excessive coffee, red wine, tea, smoking, and turmeric. With good care and oral habits, a Biotemp will not become stained or degrade. They are meant to be a longer-term option for interim dental treatments. Thanks for watching! -Wilson Schmidt, RDA

Wow thank you so much for your time and effort to response my comment I really do appreciate it. I am from the Philippines and I am your subscriber. I really wanted to have these kind of bio temps. As of now I have plastic full upper fixedbridge but I want to have these kind of bio temps. Do you have branches here in the Philippines ? Thank you and Godbless.

I have used the 2 cord technique for years but always placed them 10 min prior to the impression - then removing both just prior to the impression. I like your idea of placing the 0 string prior to prepping but, if that string stays in the entire time until after the impression, isn't that a long time to leave it in? Especially, if there is caries removal and core placement. Won't this cause ischemia?
