Have you played the original game, or the remake? This is what Ashley was doing before Leon arrived to save her!
As a RE enthusiast,,,,,,,,I hate RE4 with a passion. it Was the First RE to break the original feel and style of the classics, other than 'outbreak' of course, and even though outbreak didn't play like an old school RE the environment, sounds, locations were 100% RE to the core.
Haven't played the new new RE yet, BioHazard felt more like a silent hill game to me. i enjoyed it, but it was silent hill.

I never considered Ashley and formulating to be in the same context. This is how Ashley see's herself versus what Leon deals with. On a side note, I played both and think that the old one is better in the context of being corny but going along with a fun ride. However the remake has a deeper story. The game is far more serious but adds more depth into the characters. Leon isn't as suave but complex being damaged over RE:2. Ashley got way more screen time and goes from a preppy girl to appreciative partner.

and the original will always be a classic yes, but its great thats they brought something new to the remake to make it something a little different :)

Hi, I'm a MoCap performer and wanted to share a painful story of mine about those REmakes.
In late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the motion capture role of Leon for the RE 2 Remake.
I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part...☹
Now many years later, when I see how successful those remakes are I can't believe I wasted such an opportunity.
In this business one audition can change your entire life. PS. Great video.
