One of my biggest issues with how you folks treated GaEun's characters was that somehow she had to be this wizard that magically could fix everything and anything, you always compared her character to HwaGon and they were both very very different. GaEun was the daughter of an official, but that was it. Even if she had wanted to do something for the CP she wouldn't have been able to, because she didn't have political power, HwaGon did, and that was enough to separate the nature of their characters, and not even that, HwaGon wasn't kept in the dark about the things going around her, she knew damn well what her grandpa was doing and she didn't give a fuck, she just wanted the CP to be fine, and truly, I'd rather GaEun who not only wanted the well being of the CP but also the people around her, the town, Joseon.
Also you all hated her character since she got angry at the CP about not telling her who he was, AND HONEY, I would have been angry too lmao, she continuously brought up the dead of her father and the CP never said anything, her being angry and sad was expected, besides those episodes happened in the spam of a week (in the drama's time) so it's not like she went on sulking and not giving a shit for the longest time ever. HG had a power GE didn't. I get being mad at the writers for having kept her character passive those episodes, but the spot light wasn't for her on that moment, truly I feel like out of all the saeguk dramas i've watched her character as a leading lady was treated the best, because boy do saeguk dramas mistreat their leads.
Yes, her character could have been written better, many things in the drama could have been done better, but to call her character useless because she wasn't doing everything and anything to get a CP she didn't know existed on the throne was just ridiculous, like, yes i'm biased i know i sound like that, but I liked her character and it makes me angry people come at her for not been HwaGon 2.0 like wtf.
Thank you so much you spoke my mind. The characters have being different from the start. Yes, the writer dimmed GE character a bit but I still appreciate it she was strong in her own way. Unlike HG she had a lot to protect.
Isabel Sandoval agreed. some people are stupid enough that they hate gaeun and hate kim so hyun too. after finishing today episodes, i actually cried when i read many cruel comments about gaeun and kim so hyun. they all praised hwa, felt pity for her death and hate gaeun . kim so hyun had been working hard. she does not deserve that.

I like neither Ga Eun nor Hwa Gon, not only because their character aren't well written, their acting also bored me to death. I had high expectations for this drama but really, it was a struggle to finish. The 2 Suns were good though.
