SCAMMED ? Kyle’s Playtime NERF Fortnite Storm Scout 2023 Toy Gun Rifle PRODUCT Demonstration REVIEW

So, this was a very interesting day for Kyle’s Playtime as we went to Target 🎯 in Redondo Beach at 1601 Kingsdale Ave near the South Bay Galleria Mall and purchased this for $41.99.
When we got home to open it and get ready for a Kyle’s Playtime video recording, upon opening the box, we discovered that a totally different product was packaged inside.
It was a series of “Girls” playhouse type toy pieces. It was fairly clear that this was not an issue with Epic Games (Fortnite) nor Hasbro (Nerf) at the manufacturing level (Made in China) during assembly or packaging.
What we believe happened was, someone bought this, opened it, took the Nerf Storm Scout out, dumped a bunch of random junk inside of the Nerf box, the taped the box to return the item. Then, since it was sealed, the Target employees didn’t do the QC inspection and assumed it was sealed new, unopened and put this back onto the retail shelves for sale.
So, we went back to Target and they, of course, believed and supported us with a full refund, to which we went back to the Toy Department to pick up a other Nerf Fortnite Storm Scout and proceeded to insisting upon opening the box in the store to be assured the right merchandise was in the box.
So, immediately, when we went back to the toy dept shelves we did notice that the 3 remaining Nerf Fortnite Storm Scout boxes were sealed with a single piece of clear tape on both ends of the box. Our original one had 2 pieces, indicating the box was on fact resealed by the evidence. The other tells between our box and a new box was that our box was lighter in weight and also didn’t “jingle” where the original first box had a shifting sound of pieces moving around inside of the sealed box (in hindsight, that in-itself should have tipped us off to get another box).
All’s Well, that End’s Well… We confirmed the pieces were there and went home to film this video.
We used the Video Up app to piece together separate video clips and stills.
At the end, after the product review and demonstration is over (approx 15 mins into this video), we added a photo of the girls toys, a video of our return at Target and othet fun bonus material that completes our tale and substantiates out story.
No cliffhangers. We like the NERF Fortnite Storm Scout.
We don’t really like the multi-rapid fire barrage of bullet type of Nerf guns. This is a 6 shooter you need to manually cock and load from a 6 dart capacity chamber. The shotgun rifle design is beautiful and ergo omic for an 8 year old (this is recommended for ages 8+)
