  • TuneCore just came out with an unlimited distribution plan for artists so no more yearly fees for albums, singles and EPS. Just one price per year just like DistroKid but they still have some catching up to do... Both AMAZING companies for digital distribution so just choose one and GO!!!

    Tunecore, with the unlimited pricing model, is better for Content ID on CZcams

      I've been using DK but thinking of switching to TC at the end of the year because not having to pay a fee to get access to a Content ID on CZcams (per track) is just amazing.

    Hey, thanks for the video. Do you know if Tunecore charges more per collaborations? I mean, can you have collaborating artists on your songs (not featuring artists) without having to pay for more artists slots (Like it happens on DistroKid)?

    Remember guys Tunecore still does not offer royalty split meaning your producer will not get paid.

    I'm currently on the Distrokid Musician package. If I upgrade to Musician Plus, that will allow me to publish my own music as a solo artist, *plus* my band. This also allows me to publish with a custom label. Alternatively I keep my solo stuff on DK and set up the band with Tunecore Rising Artist. So here's the question - does the custom label thing on Distrokid outweigh any of the new Tunecore benefits? Thanks.

    Hello sir! I am launching a label and would like to ask, since most of my listeners are on Soundcloud and youtube, is it possible to monetize soundcloud streams with tunecore?

    • @SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS
      @SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS  Před rokem

      NO you need to use Repost Network or SOundcloud Premium

      @@SMARTMUSICBUSINESSVIDEOS Alright ! but is it also possible to release with Tunecore, and then monetize it with soundcloud repost? Or would that be considered a doubled release?

    Do you have to input Tunecore info on ASCAP when registering new song? Like as a sub publisher or anything? About to release new song and have Tunecore as a distro and ASCAP as PRO. Haven't uploaded or registered anything yet. Don't want to make any mistakes.

    About Distrokid.
    If you do something wrong because you don't know it and get rejected by the stores they give you a general warning and then kick you out without be specific why this happening, they don't guide you and they don't trying to fix the problem!
    The don"t have the amount of employees to support!
    They beggan well and now is the worst..

    Hello I have a question no one seems to have the answer to. I originally subscribed to the label plan (5 to 10 artists) then a year later by mistake, when trying to renew my subscription (I didn’t know it had already renewed automatically) they accepted my “second”payment as an upgrade payment and put me on the label plus account (10-20 artists)!
    So currently I’m paying a fortune yearly and every time a released is renew I am charged with the extras too. I’m desperate and don’t know what to do!!! So frustrating!
    I know the only way to downgrade is by canceling my current label account and subscribing again, but this time I would subscribe to the musician plus account.
    Do you know if I was to do this, will I have to pay for all the uploads individually again? I have 7 releases of my own and 26 from other artist. That will be a fortune for me to pay at once! Hopefully I can find someone with this experience to walk me through.
