Actual freekicks needs huge forward momentum. Regardless of swerve & accuracy, u still want the ball to have enough power to charge towards the goal.
For actual passes, you want the ball to move AWAY from the goal, avoiding the keeper.
That's why good crosses are called "weighted pass", u want the ball to lose as much momentum as it approaches the goalie.
They're two entirely different kicks.
Freekics is never simply "passing to the goal".
