I thought they were going to make Tyson how they made him in UFC 2 just op boxing and not even given him any kicks, no spins, no elbows, no takedowns, no subs and leave him with terrible grappling stats
Probably did it just to give him a chance, I got wrestle fucked whenever I used Tyson in ufc2. Cant blame the players though, he was op on the feet.

Love seeing you use the head movement and slipping punches. So many people i see on youtube just block and walk backwards and forwards instead of staying in the pocket 👏
Only thing that looks better in this one over ufc 4 is the striking, it looks faster and more responsive. Other than that it looks almost identical and the Ali character model doesn't look all that good, Ali looks way better in Undisputed in my opinion.

Imo tyson looked way better in ufc2. The movement in that game/striking also looked like it suited him better, still cool him n ali are in the game though.

Stance but this model is alot better ufc 2 young tyson model was terrible they got the face right in ufc 5
He would use a different stance in mma. The threat of kicks and takedowns make a huge difference in stance

@@snowman1886 true but tbh that stance would be more accurate if he had the 12oz gloves. The aesthetics would look more realistic. Tyson never wore 4oz, so it looks weird and unnatural for some.

In terms of fighting behavior and tendencies im blown away at the accuracy of ali's outside fighting and distance control. These AI improvements lowkey blow undisputed out of the water.
Obviously punch animations are the same and stale but if you have accurate movement and behavior it creates so much more depth. IndividualPunch animations can be added in updates for now I'm happy it's a solid base. Idk why ppl expect ground breaking new sports games when 2k showed everybody you can make the same game 5 times until you make a new engine
I practice box myself and more fan of it , but brother, that pivot* with step + underhook from the first KO looked almost perfect 👌

Super tuff challenge..I'd suggest using some of his own medicine against him. Hit him with more jabs and counter punchies. Also, I'd recommend using those leg kicks, it really slows him down.
They went BACK to cimnamatic cut scenes like what THQ did in the DC game. Hillarious!!
Ufc has such a shit stamina system, boxers do not tire after 4 punches and boxers do not get exhausted from moving their head for 2 seconds💀
The amount of arguments I’ve had with people over Walker answering “the desert” to what country are you in is staggering. Their argument is “well I couldn’t name what country it was”. Or “how do you expect him the answer anything other than “yes or no” questions during a fight?”. Uhhh the same way some fighters literally have full conversations with people outside the ring DURING the round. And if your argument is “well he just gone kneed in the head” then you’re literally admitting he shouldn’t be allowed to continue lol.

Adding doctor stoppage is amazing!! strays away from fighting game type feel and more into ufc simulation, game looks good I just feel graphics could be more buffed up and more newer animation could be added. THATS whats making me consider not buying
This uppercut animation is bad. Why does he move the opposite shoulder forward when throwing it? It’s supposed to come back so that you can torque the side of your body you are throwing the uppercut with.
It looks so labored. Almost like an arm punch.

The striking in these ufc games don’t feel smooth and natural like they do in ea’s boxing games it feels slow almost as if there’s no natural flow

I'm more of a boxing fan, but this game looks brutal. The only holding me back from playing this, would be the westling. I don't think I would like having to do that sometimes.

There’s a stand n bang and knockout mode where you strike. And if you do wind up buying the game, I’d recommend learning the grappling by playing career mode.

Idk Ali looks good to me. Just looked at his real image its closer then you may think. It's hard to do with someone that's dead my dude and only old old picks when he was younger. They did damn good with what they had to work with.

His head being a lighter shade of brown compared to that of his torso and lower body, come on… If EA truly cared they could’ve put the extra effort in to simply google up close picture of Muhammad’s face as reference (there’s plenty). With the technology and tools at their disposal today, a way better job could’ve been done 🤷🏾♂️ Big difference between 2005 and 2023 video game development tools lol.
I think what urks me is that a game, that had at least about a decade of time to improve couldn't even make the authentic styles both tyson and ali have.. your basically playing them as a mixed martial artist instead of a boxer.. i get it, adapt and stuff but man its wasted potential to make your game more immersive. Which this game kinda fails to do every release. Imagine if a company like rockstar made a fighting simulator.. they would blow it out the park with the smallest details that even after yrs later it would still be played.

If Tyson DID fight an MMA match he would probably fight Southpaw seeing as how hes left handed. Im surprised these mma games dont think that way. If he was used to boxing orthodox, then fighting southpaw would put his "strong" foot forward. Alot of wrestlers who switch to mma fight the opposite stance of there handedness to put there strong foot forward to shoot faster. Tyson could do both, but would probably lean towards southpaw for better balance, and to put his right foot forward which he made his strong foot by fighting orthodox for so long.

EA didn’t give either one the credit. EA keeps putting out these games knowingly and they know we will have no other outlets to buy MMA. The his shows they don’t care about nothing but money. If EA wanted to put out a great game they would take their time and do so. Yet they drop games once a year with no real changes. And they see what people say yet they don’t care. EA needs a new team of developers and people that actually care about the games they put out.
