- Here’s a fun heatless curls hair tutorial for medium or long hair that uses BBQ skewers! This heatless curling method will give you beachy curls and waves that are long-lasting. Depending on how thick your section is and how tightly you wrap your hair, you can produce soft mermaid waves or small tight curls. My biggest tip is not to wrap the ends too tightly - otherwise, you’ll get Shirley Temple curls! ^^ Hope you’ll have fun trying this heatless curls method and please let me know what other tools I should experiment with! :)

This reminds me of your heatless curl method using pens! I used that method a lot in high school! This one might be easier though since theres more length to work with when trying to twirl the stick around.

I'd recommend dampening your hair only slightly so it'll dry in the shorter amount of time. You can also dry your hair with a blow dryer on cool air or sit in front of a fan. :) These curls form very quickly so I think 1 hour is plenty of time to let your hair dry. ^^ Also, for medium hair, I'd recommend getting shorter skewers (I listed a link in the description box for you!)

For longer-lasting curls, I'd recommend: trying this on 2nd-3rd day hair, wrapping your hair tighter so the curls will come out more defined, making sure your hair is completely dry before you release the curls (if they're still damp, the water weight will drag your hair down and make it lose its shape ^^), and midst some hairspray at the end to hold the curls extra long! :) Hope these tips will help!

I was so scared of the pointy parts accidentally stabbing someone 😂 But this is very original! I've never heard of someone doing this! I've been curious as to how some people use headbands and I've tried it but it doesn't seem to want to work for me; maybe it's because my hair is super straight and thickish? :c I'd love to see you try it though!
+Majestic Yani Hehehe it does take some practice! I'm super slow when I guide the skewer through my hair because it would hurt to get poked lol. I saw it online somewhere on an article and it said that it is supposed to give you those really loose curls. maybe you could try that and make a video on it! haha. it made me think of you, so I was just curious. great videos! :) ♥

+Itayexy Hernandez Did the curls form at all? I'd recommend trying this on 2nd-3rd day hair when it' s a little oily. I find that holds the curls better. :) Also, make sure you only mist your hair a little before you put the skewers in and wait for your hair to be completely dry from the inside to the outside before you remove the skewers. A little hairspray at the end should do the trick to help your curls be long-lasting. :)

+Kpopluvr 22 This is the color of my hair when it's faded, which happens around 1 month or so. I usually refresh the color by using a semipermanent hair dye. Then, I retouch my whole head + dye my roots with the L'Oreal permanent hair dye once every 2 months. (:
Oh cool. Other hair dye brands that supply red usually fades by a week or two since red fades pretty fast. That's cool that L'Oreal's hair dyes last pretty long especially for red hair colors.

+rechellelml I agree! I've used hair chopsticks to curl my hair before too, and they work well. :) The main reasons why I'm suggesting skewers is because they're the thinnest tool I have ever seen that I could produce cute curls/waves and hold in your hair. ^^
