A great way to wrap up what has been an awesome year for you and for all those that have made the decision to just do it.
It looks like a beautiful area.
The trouble with Thailand is that there are so many beautiful areas, it makes it hard to know what to decide where to settle.
I think that the best advice is to go to an area you think might suit you and rent for a while. Just like you did. Get out and about. Check out what's going on and see if your interests can be catered to in that area.
Meanwhile, as you said, you'll be making friends, both ex-pats and local Thais.
No matter what though, it'll be a great adventure if you have the right mind set and a determination to find a place that you can call home.

at 7:40 I think I stayed in that hotel on the right hand side there in the corner if its the same place I remember it was a town house style hotel. I went to that beach many times it is soooo nice, and has everything. If you want quiet you can find an unoccupied section or if you want amenities there are lots of those too. Happy New Year sir.

have u eva considered using the Pattaya bypass rather than sukumvit when going right across town? runs along the railway line and has no where near the traffic n hassles of sukumvit. nice vid dude.

@@goodvibespattaya2423 yeah mate, end of the day it is up to you, but you will get so much more from living in the place if you can speak the language a little, for people coming on a holiday, it is really not needed, but if you are living here everything gets much easier and I would say better if you can speak a little, when I first moved here I set myself a challenge of learning a sentence/question a week, after a year I was surprised how much I could understand ( much more than speak) is it perfect, nope not by a long shot, but has helped me immensely and gotten myself out of trouble with the police on more than one occasion. online courses are ok, but one of one lessons at least first are way way better as online, if we think we are saying it right we can go down a rabbit hole... anyway looking forward to the 2024 content,
The high-speed railway between Bkk and Rayong will probably mean a lot to the tourist industry and the real estate market in Rayong
