    They both sound nice, but Alstom for the win. Even at higher speeds.
    That distinct BASE that is has, that hum/wooing noise it makes is like a smooth jet turbine . Really creates a lovely ambiance !
    But BRELs/hitachis have an amazing motor/gearbox thrash too!! BRELs sound like a blow dryer /hoover

    BREL/HITACHI sound intimidating, i love the sounds that blend together too, and if youve ever heard them pass a station or passing by at speed from the outside at speed, its like a DAMNED WAR CRY from them motors!!! Absolute beats!!
    Ita a combination of motor fan/ inverter noise , and gearbox (creating a blend of smooth high pitch screams paired with a jet like wooing noise!!) Very cool!!
