The original version was bitter, accusatory, and not a little self-righteous. This one is mournful, grieving for something that was lost. It's a beautiful and heartbreaking piece of work.

I felt the same way when I heard the song, I remember the original, but this version is appropriate for the terrible sadness over all of the people who died because of the actions an evil genius and his followers.

As a youth of the 60's I remember when I first saw this song performed on a television show by Barry McGuire. Loved it then still love it but your version is the best cover I've heard yet. I just grabbed it and download it to my playlist along side with the original version.

Julie, I'm not sure how I missed this for a year... I watched Run Hide Fight and was mesmerized by the beautiful, haunting, mournful version of Eve of Destruction. Such incredible talent you have! The movie had me in tears in a couple of places. It was all so very well done.

A stunning rendition! Where is this available (some of us don't 'spotify')?! It's rare that a piece of music rips an emotional response from you during a movie - nor that a song presents as powerful a poignant coda to a movie. I couldn't imagine watching this WITHOUT Julie's rendition to pull the entire picture together... This young lady has a long career ahead of her. Next Bond movie singer anybody? Seriously, Julie - publish your songs for an album!

I've heard several different covers of this song and though I have not yet found one to beat the Barry McGuire original, this is incredibly good. You manage to keep the dramatic protest overtone of the original and very few other covers do.
Wish I could find it on Spotify to add into my playlist rotation.

FINALLY you put this on your channel! Ben Shapiro is a genius! Best movie I have seen from 2020-2021! 2nd ONLY to the newly released Psycho Goreman movie!
Glad you found it! Unfortunately, I had nothing to do with the people involved in the distribution of the film. I recorded my vocals quarantined all alone in a home studio at the height of the pandemic and sent them to The Mondo Boys. I'm super happy people love the final song

I would believe that it would be unjust if you did not get something.
I was paid upfront to sing on the track as that’s it. I would say that hopefully they would allow me to renegotiate for a small performance royalty. But realistically I don’t see them having an interest in releasing it 🤷🏼♀️
@@juliemintz I went on the Daily Callers facebook to urge them to release it. I realize that it is more complicated to get it released. Many of my generation did not realize they were used to aid and abate the demonic enemy. The one kid in the movie was touched by the lead character and she changed his heart. That is what leads to peace. The mournful manner of your rendition touched my heart.
