Thanks!! I was self taught for my first 14 years of singing then I took speech level singing lesson for about 2 years.

Practicing vocal scales really helped me with pitch so I could focus more on the emotion and performance of the song. If it hurts your vocal chords it's a sign that your not doing it right. A great advice I got too is to put as much effort into the verses as the chorus, not to push but performance wise to try and always be in the zone and emotion of what the song requires. Hope that helps
