Indeed. Both my parents were born and raised in Corfu and there definitely is Italian influences in some of their dishes due to their close proximity of each other.

Absolutely no question about the mosquitoes! I was tormented by them when I visited a few years ago in May. I will be better prepared with repellent next time.

Oh my god your dad is so small minded regarding other cultures and negative and rude about cultural differences I wouldn’t recommend having him on your videos. He pulls the tone down.
No my dad is just bringing that generic British banter…rather than wandering around saying “everything is just amazing, wow, wonderful”, it’s refreshing having that dry humour. Don’t take the video too seriously, just like he doesn’t.

@@TheMattJames I understand yr defense of your dad. He is of course yr dad. But I’ve actually been around lots of British banter all my life and I enjoy it gestation. But I didn’t find it like that. I don’t expect nor need those types of videos where people tell u everything is brilliant . I like reality. But I also don’t want disrespectful talk ( sometimes in front of the locals themselves) putting down what really is just cultural differences and actually the things many people like about the place. I don’t mind people complaining or disliking. Some things that’s normal . But whining about whining about everything and banging on about Britain ( which trust me coming fm elsewhere then old blighty myself I was astonished that her thought England was so perfect ! Perhaps u we’re going for that comedian guy who travels with his dad vibe. If so it didn’t have the dry timing and wit that his dad has to pull it off. It just sounded like an old white Dude complaining and being disrespectful. I did find your presenting good though. Not taking it too seriously. I just found that part of it very irritating ands disrespectful and sometimes it’s important to recognize when what is meant to be a joke becomes very culturally disrespectful. Like when your dads openly being super rude in front of the people working there and perhaps owner if the restaurant. It’s not about the food itself he just clearly doesn’t like the type of food. And that poor restaurant owner will prob realize with the type of video being made that its being put out there to the world. And that actually would be upsetting for many people.

What a riddiculous comment about the churches. I don't think you guys should go back to Corfu since you don't appreciate it. I think you should go to Marbella - more your speed.
I know my viewers appreciate my candour. Rather than walking around everywhere saying everything is amazing, people appreciate my genuine and honest perspective. The churches were underwhelming as far as churches in Europe go, especially when compared to Venice or Rome where I travelled just before, so I stand by my comment. Anyway, your cynicism isn’t welcome on my channel, so please either disappear or get blocked.
@@TheMattJames It is indeed true that the churches in Corfu don't have the grandeur, size or craftmanship of Gothic and Roman churches. But, they have their own beauty and they served a practical purpose. Greece was an incredibly underdeveloped country during the Late Middle Ages and onwards, compared to Italy which absolutely bloomed in the Renaissance period. I respect your opinion, but the comparison is a bit off. Cheers!
