VHM Head Install on 2024 Yamaha YZ125. Better than a pipe? High Compression "SX" Insert.

The VHM cylinder head is a really easy, quick modification that should provide great performance benefits. This is being fitted on my 2024 Yamaha YZ125 with the High Compression dome/insert to see if I can pick up a little more bottom. If I don't like it, I can just swap out the insert for any number of other options.
No doubt the claims for a much cooler running head must be true with the drastic increase in cylinder head coolant volume and huge coolant passages of stock.
This build will also see a full FMF exhaust and a drastically re-tuned carb with the JD Jetting kit. This should be one great running YZ125.

Can you reuse the stock O rings in the head or need new ones ?

You can reuse if they are undamaged and in good condition. New rings are cheap though, so something to consider. I think I paid less than $10 for the set.

Does the VHM head and standard insert add much extra power?

I can't say that it does. I don't have the standard insert, so unfortunately I cannot really say.

We’d just loose the gasket and use silicone pretty much the same thing
