I saw gallows live with frank 2 years ago and they were awesome, i saw them with wade last week and they were awesome again. Gallows are awesome end of story.
Frank always said from the beginning it was just for laugh he only wanted to realease 2 albums and he did that he was never taking it that serious but ended up a fucking legend. Gallows isint about the guitars the drums or the vocalist its about the message in there songs
agreed mate, saw em at leeds 2 years in a row and again at slamdunk a few weeks ago and their still awsome, seems like steph has stepped forward a bit more now too which is cool

I saw it only recently. It's so weird to see that Frank Carter is now singing ballads in a rock and roll band called Pure Love. I could have never imagined that he would do that.
dude i have so much ink on my body that has been put there without a machine, i really liked this video because the rider goes and gets traditional work done on his hand, the tattoo artist is most likely just using a five point shading needle for the fuck the world on his hand, that must have felt just wonderful on his bone when its going in, ha, mad props dude, i would never put ftw on my skin but i do like them putting traditional tattoo work in this video

im not really a huge gallows fan, when i listend i didnt know about frank and wade, and i only notist a slide diffrence in the voice so that says something, there still fcuking awesome!
wade is better live now then frank was towards the end! and is becoming a better front man every time he plays i adore wade and he's the perfect man for the job! UP THE PUNX
Gallows is still a unique band, even without Frank Carter. Frank was an amazing singer, and he lent a lot to the feel of Gallows. I agree, the new band sounds different from Orchestra of Wolves and even the much lighter Grey Britain, but it's still a great band, and I can still hear the roots of Gallows in every note. It's changed, obviously, evolved, arguably, but no matter what I'm still enjoying the evolution of the band and am looking forward to their first LP with Wade.
@coyel Guess that's why one of the songs is called "death is birth," with the death of the old band, a new Gallows is born? I would have loved something more to the tune of Grey Britain, but honestly, this isn't bad.
@MarkArandjus Why would they change the name? The guy who wrote (and continues to write) all the songs (Lags) is still in the band. Greg Ginn was the driving musical talent behind Black Flag, and they got to keep their name throughout all of their different vocalists. This is the same situation.
I think its important to remember that the message Gallows convey is far more important than the personnel. We all loved Frank in this band but what Gallows stands for is far more important! So as long as they continue with the same ideology surely a change of vocalist/guitarist/drummer whatever it may be is relatively unimportant. Black Flag have no consistent members buts its what they stood for that made them such a force.
My view may be considered biased as I adored Wade in Alexisonfire but we all know Frank will be missed. Wade brings something new to gallows and bands are forever developing. Long live Gallows and bring on the new album!

The Black Flag arguement is interesting. But when Keith Morris left the band it turned into a totally different monster with the arrival of Henry Rollins. People accepted that change because Rollins brought an energy of his own that showed the band could still rock with the best of them. Look at how hard this video is trying to be hardcore. There's motorcycles, tatooes, bald dudes. Frank looked like a hardass even when he was wearing a suit and tie.
@MarkArandjus I see where you're coming from. If they change their name, their history and legend so to speak will be preserved. But do you never want to see their old songs live again? I'm gutted Frank left, but I'd be devestated if they chose to split up. Atleast I know I can still see them live.
The only reason I ever heard of gallows is cause my favorite screamer Wade Macnieil is making gallows badass so if you don't like it listen to something else. Go Gallows for stepping it up

The vocals are different to Frank's yes, but... The guitar and drums still give off that awesome vibe that the original Gallows gave.
