i have become a HUGE FAN of the Act 5 Merc. he is very efficient with Uber mobs/minions when farming torches with my Smiter! i recommend trying this gear: - Eth Upped Headstriker - Azurewrath PB - Eth Treachery Armor - Eth Arreats Face Helmet!
A5 Merc is my favorite in the game. I use one on every build that I can! He’s a godly tank compared to A2. My fav is a 2x Lawbringer Frenzy merc paired with Bowazon. 100% uptime on Decrepify is amazing for any physical build.

@@looter_game and after you can try a challenge with the Sorc and the Act3 merc. Maybe limit yourself to only spells used by the Mercs (firebolt, fireball, enchant, ice blast, glacial spike, some armor, charged bolt, lightning, static) ? Using a sword and a shield at all times.
It would take forever but imagine an a3 only merc (can play any class but cant attack side for thorns or cast when hit stuff and can do stuff to buff him curses, etc

Why Double Swing as a synergy and not Taunt? When Frenzy'ing you can't simultaneously use Double Swing, but you can use Frenzy on a previously Taunt'ed monster. Increasing the level of Taunt would reduce the monster's attack rating and damage, giving _some_ benefit; I don't see the benefit from Double Swing. [Unless they give different synergy amounts, since last I checked?]

I think frenzy+double swing+blade mastery is essential and remained points to BO is my choice because it's HC.
