    Dedicated to Lucille Ball ---
    Chutzpah - Hebrew -> חוצפה
    Meaning - Gall, Audacity, Insolence, Audacity, Impertinence, Cheeky.
    I read an interview from 1984, the other day, where Lucy said something to the interviewer and then she told him she's like a Jewish mother (with the worrying.) Well Miss Ball, you sure had the Ch in Chutzpah, like a Jewish person.

    Lucy was a pefectionous and knew everything about the business, she owned the studio,. Saw a video of her, at the recording of one of her shows, and she told the camera man where to put his camera, in a nice way of course. She was right, everyone agreed, the camera was in the wrong position. A story concerning Jack Benny being on her show, finds him sitting on a couch on the set with a long time friend of Lucy, who was also on the show, and Lucy was fusing, doing thus and that. Jack said to her friend, "Somebody ought to tell her she has the job!" In other words relax, but that was not Lucy's way. She worked hard and it showed to our benefit. Another story that is of a very touching nature, concerns the two sons of the actress who played Mrs Ziffle on 'Green Acres.' Apparently the actress was an alcoholic and one of the sons, who I believe became a screenwriter, said Lucy always found a job for our mom before Christmas, that was so we would have Christmas presents. Barbara Eden, I believe all of 18, appeared on the last episode of 'I Love Lucy.' Lucy asked her, "Do you like the dress?" Barbara not about to say she didn't like anything, said "Yes, yes." Lucy said "Take it off!" According to Ms Eden, Lucy and a lady who worked with her sat for the whole week sewing sparkling gromets on to the dress, just to give it that special oomph. Barbara Eden found it remarkable that the owner of the studio would do that for a newcomer. Lucille Ball was not the Lucy character she could be abrasive at times, but as she told Carol Burnett, women have to work harder than men at the same job to prove themselves and when they do they are usually called a bitch!

    By 99% of other accounts, Lucy was very difficult (on purpose) to work with.
