- Have you ever thought that Hollywood's ethics and the behavior of its stars couldn't possibly sink any lower?
Well, it's sad to say, but scandal and Hollywood have been inseparable since day one.
I never understood the hype of Woody Allen...he's not funny and is boring
I found only two of his movies funny
I'm Italian American and loved Woody's books and movies in my youth right away. It wasn't until I moved to NYC that I realized my humor was based in my Italian Culture from my Father and Aunts and Uncles. The Jewish and Italians have a similar sense of humor. I don't like Woody the person but I understand his schtick.
Woody Allen comes across to me as a really ‘weird’ person. His humour must be for certain people as I never understood his films. I never once laughed and remember we turned his film off as it was horrendous.
To each his own. Maybe his humour is too intellectual for you. So let me rectify your comment for you: YOU find him not funny and boring.
I don't find him funny or attractive in any way physically or intellectually...never really wanted to see his movies.
Keaton said in his autobiography those allegations against Roscoe were entirely BASELESS. I see Arbuckle as being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Buster Keaton wld. He had his own troubles. If they dug up the poor little actress today, DNA of Fat Fatty prob be all over her. I guess that wld settle it. It's all a sad waste tho😢
I read Debbie Reynolds autobiography BUT NEVER Fisher's autobiography - he has no excuse at all abandoning his two small children that Debbie had to raise alone, she put ALL the blame on Fisher for the marriage breakup, NOT Taylor.
But years later, Debbie forgave him.
Debbie was a sweet woman, Elizabeth Taylor said so.
It was 💯 %her husband's fault
She is not at fault at all
Carrie Fisher's one-woman show Wishful Drinking is a hilarious look at her life. If you haven't seen it, DO.
I have read that Valentino died due to a burst appendix, leading to peritonitis, no ulcer mentioned.
A death brought on by a broken heart, and about 400 lbs.
Arbuckle was exonerated but too late to save his career. The truth was more likely a botched abortion.
She was suffering with a persistent urinary tract infection at a time before antibiotics.
At that time, UTIs were not properly treated.
This should be named
Men With Money, A Cautionary Tale.
Its a great tragedy what the parents of child stars do to them with regards to their money, these children profoundly trust their parents and believe they are much loved and have parents that are proud of them. Even today it is still happening and when the child grows to be old enough to discover the betrayel it can seriously affect them forever afterwards with mental health issues and problems with trust.
Agree. raising a "healthy" child is really difficult
Roscoe is not guilty even the courts say so
Technically Myra Brown was his 1st cousin once removed not that it matters. In 20 some states it is legal to marry a first cousin. Just because it is legal does not make it ok.
Movie said they were second cousins twice removed.
Being legal makes it OK---but if there's something in your genetic make-up that you'd rather not be emphasized, it's probably not smart.
Hitchcock DID work with Tippi Hedren again. She and Sean Connery were the stars of "Marnie", Hitchcock's next film after "The Birds"
Amazing how judgmental people are, especially when they weren't there and don't know exactly what happened. Arbuckle was innocent.
All judgments come from haste and lack of that general perspective. But it's rare to find someone who has the patience to learn everything
As much as I've read and studied on Fatty Arbuckle he got hosed. It's definitely sad that someone lost their life though.
No he didn’t, he was guilty. Just think about it.
@@lm8066 It's easy to say he was guilty by just the size difference between the two. That's common sense. Read up on the case. It's an interesting read. It's sooo easy just to point fingers and say that someone is guilty. That's why he was never found guilty...
I recently read that Virginia Rappe had been dealing with a persistent urinary tract infection. Her alcohol consumption acerbated the condition. At the time, there were no antibiotics with which to treat UTIs. If she was engaging in sexual activity, this would also aggravate the condition. There is now believed the infection and resulting damage caused by the less than adequate treatment at the time contributed to her death.
@@pamelasimone5084 I have heard the same thing.
Exactly, the size difference is extremely important. You have only proven that he, indeed, caused the loss of her life. He was found not guilty as he was a very well known celebrity and rich. You know what that does now so you can imagine back then. Even though he was not charged, he lost his celebrity as most people understood that he was “raping” her and ultimately caused her death.
There's no good reason for using a picture of Lon Chaney, Sr.
Man of a thousand faces...a straight up guy, kept his zipper up....
Or so, we hoped... But, guys being guys....
woody allen was most untalented POS in hollywood. Never saw one of his movies I could sit through over 15 minutes. But his yellow fever was only interesting thing about him.
Wow! Can you be more racist?
It's too bad your narrow perspectives blinds you to appreciating some really good movies and some really good filmmaking. One of my very favorite movies is "Radio Days," and I thank him for that. As far as his personal life, that is none of my business. I'm looking at the art a person creates here, and that's all.
Video states that Natalie Wood won an Oscar. She was nominated several times, but never won.
She won Golden Globes for "Rebel Without a Cause" and the 1979 "From Here to Eternity".
I think she won for Splendor in the Grass
@@stephaniejoles4043 No, she did not, sadly. She was great in that. She was nominated for Splendor in the Grass and Love with the Proper Stranger. But she never won an Oscar.
@@stephaniejoles4043 she got nominated but didn't win.
@@user-bu7jl6zy5d thank you!
Yes there were a few people who defended Joan Crawford but there were way more that agreed with Christina and defended her. And the abuse started way before her teen years and Crawford's strapping Christopher into his bed like he was a mental patient (at the times standards).
If you read Christina's book you would know she was strapping him in bed because he had ran away from home, at least once. But also he had figured out how to get free from the straps ...
My grandmother strapped my father into his bed. Not his 2 younger brothers though. She should have had them put to sleep. Creeps, the 2 of them.
He booked the suite but he was not even with girl. That is a lie
LIES!! YOUR RACE IS KNOWN FOR THIS
Going for the zlotys....or American dollars...such a shame... No difference today.....
Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner only had ONE child together. Natalie's oldest daughter was from a prior marriage. You need to get your facts straight.
Yes that’s true; but did RJ adopt her?
I thought she had 3 daughters. I might be wrong
I will always believe that Fatty Arbuckle is INNOCENT.
Me too!
I also believe his was innocent.
I never thought he was.
Sorry, never thought he was guilty.
Me, too. Virginia apparently had a back alley abortion. His life was over - and so was hers.
This video is playing fast and loose with the facts. Pourly researched if at all.
Marilyn Monroe was so beautiful!
31:02 He made Tippi's life miserable because she wouldn't get jiggy with him. Horrible man.
Very interesting indeed 😊 thx for sharing... smiles
So…”Walt Disney’s Dark Side.” What did ANY of it have to do with Walt?
Arbuckle was innocent, Chaplin was a horrible person 😢 so sad that a poor innocent man suffered while a creep got away with everything and now he’s a legend 😡😡😡
Charlie did make genius films & he finally married a girl who fell in love with him at 17 who stayed with him having 8 of his children. Many men capture Girl children, Elvis always had 14 yr old girlfriends, the fact that he got away with Priscilla (who was 14) diesn’t make him any different than Charlie.
Arbuckle was innocent !
Do. Your research!!!!!
the antinazi league photos are from the 1970’s
That's what I thought due to the clothes. And never learned anything about walt Disney's dark side?!?!??
That makes sense, jblum. I *thought* those folks looked *supremely hip* for the 30' or 40's. You've made it clear why, so thanks! 😉
Arbuckle didn't actually try anything, he was a scapegoat...
Robert Wagner was absolutely suspected of murdering Natalie Wood, if only because he didn’t try to help her when she entered the water ( however she did that).
I’m sure he did it. 😮
Again, repeating stories we’ve already heard 🙄
Yet, hear your watching it repeatedly.😆😁😄

@JudeAussie your channel doesn't appear to have any content. Maybe make your own video?? One up to your standards with "new" stories.
He ALLEGEDLY assaulted. She had a salacious past and reportedly had had an abortion that morning. He was acquited because he was innocent. Do some friggin' research. 2 juries refused to convict. The third acquited. He was getting jobs. His wife always stood by him. He would have made it. Too many people were content to spread gossip and slander. I wish he was alive to sue you!!
Funny how years later, The late Christopher REEVES. Would end up playing superman as well!!!!
Why do they say it was Walken and Wood, and not the more likely Wagner andcWalken.
Imagine, Chaplin, an immigrant, being kicked out of the US. He had a job too! Scandalous!! (sarcasm)
I did an English paper in college on Arbuckle. His entire life had so much tragedy. Rappe had had a botched abortion days before that party, which wasn't wild but, they were drinking alcohol and it was bootlegged because The Prohibition Act was going on. Arbuckle did all he could for her even wanting to take her to a hospital (she may have been bleeding out). But, Rappe declined as she was trying to become a Hollywood star and didn't want a scandal of having an abortion (illegal at the time) as well as drinking it up (which was also illegal).
It is a real pet peeve of mine to hear so many famous names mispronounced. It is easy enough to check…
It’s AI darling … 😅
Saw Natalie Wood, at the Christmas Parade in California, in 81.... radiant...
She wore a mink wrap... Such a BABE!!!!!!!!!
#6 is about George Raft's history -- not George Gershwin's, as the subtitles/closed captions display.
OMG. Please get the pronunciation of names and places correctly.
I wax thinking the same
First story in and already it's wrong. Bye
Joan Crawford slept her way to the top.
Well you don't sleep your way to the bottom! 😆
Every Hollywood star, male Or female sexed their way to the top a starring movie role.
Still happening now.
I missed the Evil Side of Walt Disney. He was most certainly not at Nazi sympathizer.
NO, Disney just acted like a Nazi to his employees and anyone else in his power.
I liked George Raft in Bolero.
The Man Could DANCE !!
He was a fantastic actor
Elizebeth Taylor is aweful
I liked his Superman Costume! 😅
Prominent figures are frequently ensnared in the labyrinth of mental health struggles as they strive to rediscover a renewed sense of purpose amidst the tumultuous terrain of stardom. *DO YOU AGREE WITH ME*
HELL NO!! YOU ON CZcams MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF BY TRYING TO IMPRESS AND SEEK ATTENTION FROM STRANGERS. HARD NO!
Why u shouting 😅 @Hollywood Memories1960s
Yes 😅
@@cazzawazza9553Perhaps they have trouble with their vision & cannot read small print, so they use capitals instead - just a thought.
Young didn’t have an fair with Gable, she told her daughter it was date rape.
Yes she did.
Loretta Young wrote a book "Forever Young" about her life, in 1999 in which she stated that she had an affair with Gable while filming "Call of the Wild" and Gable NEVER raped her.
She told her writer NOT to publish the book until AFTER her death.
In the book she NEVER apologized to Gable, his family members, her family or the public for accusing Gable for 60+ Years of rape.
She was a Promiscuous tramp that slept with every one of her leading men, while claiming to be a Devout Catholic.
Virginia "Rappay" not wrap!
We need to change all deaths to tratic or tragically so we can all be on the same page. Someone who lived a full life and died in his or her sleep needs to be labeled tragic. All deaths are tragic so death=tragic. We've lost track of what makes something tragic so every death is tragic. Lived a live to 110 with 100 grandchildren, what a tragic death. Became a dictator and caused the deaths of millions of people, what a tragic death. Caused WWIII and died as a result, what a tragic death. "I don't think you know what that word means." or better yet "I think you want to redefine what that word means."
John Lennon spoke the truth. He didn't say the Beatles were BETTER than Jesus, only more popular. Considering that they were as popular in Buddhist Japan as they were in the West, yes, MORE people probably were fans of the Beatles. He didn't say that they were bigger fans or more loyal, only that there were more of them. It's a matter of simple math, and it wasn't anything to get up in arms about.
Think he was too! No significant evidence. But who knows now.
Don’t make typos when you’re writing the script for your AI narration
Clark Bable's daughter looked just like him. Sad.
@christinagabot: I saw an interview with her. She stated her ears stuck out just like his and her mother was afraid of them being noticed. So until she was 6 or 7 (I think) her mother would not take he out of the house unless she wore a bonnet that covered her ears and tied tightly under her chin. You can see her wearing the bonnets as a child in all photos. As soon as a plastic surgeon would agree to to the surgery it was done and then her ears lay nice and flat on her head. I guess Lorraine REALLY wanted to play The Bishop's Wife.
I read mae west really never said.. come up and see me sometime!
Lots of errors in this vid: Arbuckle was exonerated, Cristina Crawford's story hotly denied by many, including her other children, Natalie Wood and Wagner had one child together, Clark Gable starred with Loretta Young in Call of the Wild in 1935 not 1953, Leni Riefenstahl pronounced like reef not rife
What did Disney have to do with Leni??
Something to do
Hichkock... What a piece of possum squeeze.....
?
I’ve looked back twice and still can’t find anything about Walt Disney’s dark side. 🙄
Thanks to the " New World Order"... You won't.
They try to make him out to be a racist now. Revisionist history sucks.
I love Joan Crawford and her WIRE HANGERS!!
😝😝😝
And her crazy eyes and evil curled lips! 😅
The Joan Crawford one is all BS.
Were you there??
Not sure about that… alcoholics can be uncharitably cruel in their own homes while appearing quite normal when at their work and social life. 😅
So why is Walt Disney on this list?
Myra was not closely related to Jerry Lee Lewis.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts 🙂
#19. "Walt Disney's Dark Side": But the clip was about filmmaker "Leni" Riefenstahl. Nothing was mentioned about the original person who was to be "#19." Get your editing correct, please!
#1) I always feel angry toward narrators and/or the narrative script, as exampled in this video, when they have to constantly resort to saying one of the most tired cliches that is so greatly overused whenever there's a video of this nature, one that primarily focuses on the lives of people. That most annoying word is "iconic." (And we can say the same thing about the cliched word "enigmatic.") What this reveals to me is the level of stupidity applied in the writing of the narrative, and whoever writes them has an obviously limited vocabulary. They don't know how to use a thesaurus, that's a book of synonyms, which is a book of words that are similar to each other, to find fresher, more original descriptors to replace these two tired, miserable forms of : "icon" and "iconic." It's a cheap shot at trying to be literate, when in fact, it's just pure laziness and stupidity regarding valuing eloquence and originality in language usage! #2) Lose the background music. It's annoying in the choice of what is being played, and it is also annoyingly repetitious, being on this kind of "loop" throughout the video that can start driving you crazy after a bit, if you can make it all the way through this less-than-desirable video presentation in the first place! I've heard elevator music and put-on-hold-while-on-the-phone music that's far better than what's being played as background music in this video!
Judy best, he was.
Usually is when it industry run by the people you’re not supposed to speak about

jerry lee was a rage ball, but also a pimp daddy. was only his SECOND cousin after all.
Yeah the movie said they were second cousins twice removed
It just wasn't that uncommon at the time. People like to believe that marriages between "kissin' cousins" are more commom in the South but I find that unlikely. People aren't that different.
Guinan is pronounced Guy Nan.
You cut one marriage, a child, and about 10-15 years out of Natalie Wood's life.
Sensationalistic, half-truths, and overuse of the word iconic. I'm blocking this page.
Me too. What a crock.

It’s pronounced Ree-fen-shtahl
NARRATED BY DUTCHSINSE THE EARTHQUAKE QUACK
There are a lot of videos from 1966 that deal with issue of John Lennon in the racist south. One of the main reasons they decided to stop touring was because of how unhinged a portion of southerners were at the time. I’m sure they are normal now…..right? They have to be better…right?
Nope we still have some "nuts" around!
Yeah they are all republicans and support the former guy….
I am from the southern US. Most southerners I know are decent and kind people. Generalizations are sadly showing your lack of knowledge of the south..... right?
Natalie Wood, although nominated 3 times, never won the OSCAR. Very poor journalism ... raised Red Flags as to facts in other 'scandals'.
I thought she won for Splendor in the Grass
She was nominated, but lost to Sophia Loren in "Two Women"@@stephaniejoles4043

Walt Disney was a devil, I've heard.
