Underrated? I don't know a punk who doesn't know who they are. Nor do they have problems selling out shows. They draw a larger crowed than most punk bands I know. Now if you are talking commercial recognition, they did sign to Sire which is Warner Bros. But didn't last long. Now for underrated I would say The Freeze. Every song is brilliant but they don't draw a crowed even close to Adicts.
Punk rock is the celebration of being a misfit. Of going your own path and doing your own thing and not giving a fuck what anyone else thinks. Being a freak and proud. Few bands epitomize that better than the Adicts.
saw them at the short lived intimate venue Martys on Newport in santa ana..... what a fantastic fucking experience.. small ass venue jam packed tight... these dudes put on one of the best shows hands down... even better when you're a huge Clockwork/kubrick fan.. great show #fuck2020 , i need to see em again!

Our guitarist got an unlimited card for guitar center we def never payed it back but tbh i switched back to the fender p base i had been playing for years and never betrayed her again infact i still play on the same frankenstiened beat up old ass p base same pick gueards as in 1990 . sometimes simple is better.
