I personally LOVE the fact that my Flexstyle folds down to a traditional dryer with round brush for travel! I own all 3, and grab my Shark most of all!
I love that! I hadn’t thought about how it’s nice for travel, but that’s an excellent point!
I'm trying to reduce the number of tools I use. I was also in the market for a new blow dryer. After watching many comparison videos I ended up purchasing the Shark. It just made more sense. P.S. I don't find the Shark dryer that loud. It's quieter than most traditional blow dryers. I'm very happy with my decision. I just couldn't see spending 600$ on a Dyson. I also feel like the Shark will come out with new barrels just like Dyson did before end of year. Excellent review and comparison. I found it honest and helpful.

I just purchased the Shark and they just came out with new barrels. I got the Sephora Shark bundle that came with all the original attachments and I purchased the new barrels and the smaller round brush attachments for $75. I am still experimenting with it but so far I'm liking it. I got my Shark at Sephora for 20% off which was an awesome steal because it came with all the attachments and a beautiful carry/storage case.
Thank you for this video. I am getting used to my Shark flex styler. I have fine but frizzy hair. So your tip about drying the roots more is handy has noticed when I tried to use the curler straight away my hair curls didn’t hold and my hair was horribly frizzy. I also have a high end babyliss dryer and revlon blow dry brush. For me the Shark is getting easier to use but I don’t like the blow dryer alone on it. I feel you explanation fits how I feel about using all my tools. I like variety and I felt the cost of Dyson just wasn’t justified. However I may consider the blow dryer in the future should I need one.
I’m so glad you took away the important key points! Sounds like we have similar hair! And yes I totally agree, it’s not my favorite as a stand-alone dryer. Nothing really compares the Dyson hairdryer in my opinion! TIP - if you do decide to invest in it, I recommend buying at Nordstrom because their return policy is the best! In case you change your mind 😊.

Can you do a video tutorial on using the shark. I just got it and am struggling with the air wrap. I have shorter fine thin hair.
It’s definitely on my list to do! Most likely after I have my baby soon😅. But in the meantime, I would recommend using a hair product with a little hold! I like unite boosta spray!
And just remember that it’s more of a “blowout” bend, so especially if your hair is short, don’t expect too much traditional curl! Keep practicing!!

I’d say say, as long as your hair isn’t frizzy, you would like the wrap style tools!
My hair has wave and frizz, so to smooth out the frizz I need to smooth it out more before using the wrap style tool! Which is why I like having both as options! And as far as damage, make sure to use high quality hair oil and heat protectant! 😊

A lot of reviews say that the shark feels hotter and the cool shot does not really cool down the curls like the Dyson. Did you experience this as well?
In my experience, the cool shot didn’t do much on EITHER tool. And I felt like the shark was maybe a little hotter depending on which attachment was on it, but not so much more to be damaging!
