Before him go tek dem up and put them in the church..caring for the homeless,poor and indigent should be all of us efforts.
The care for our most vulnerable provides a lot of insight of how we view and treat people.
The pastor is a bit hypocritical but what is new about churches. 😒
Truth! I live in the USA and I watch the news on y-tube and I did hear that the shelters that were Covid centers are open for people who need help. Be fair. Report unbiased or don’t report at all.

This makes me cry. They couldnt get them and put them up somewhere in a church or shelter? They just didnt care.
Couldn't these people seek shelter in a safer place like in a church or somewhere alittle better like in a market
Why didn't the pastor help to sort out the problem.
Is there any homeless shelters in Jamaica. Why is it only men that are homeless? Addictions such as alcohol, gambling, wreckless spending and womanizing can sure leads to destructions.
There are women as equally homeless too, elderly, children, all young women, but agree with you majority of the homeless population are men, and all the signs of addictions and strongholds are seem upon them.
We just have to keep praying and doing what we do to help in any which way we can. Sad

@Happey67, I know not one shelter in Jamaica, not even a rehabilitation centre to help the homeless in treatment, housing, job security, .....
Not one, and many church during this storm could have made a difference to open part of their church as shelter from the storm and those unoccupied empty buildings downtown is boarded up. When disasters like this happens executive mandates needs to be in operation for human life and safety.
It's like no one cares anymore of these homeless people just die. I pray this does not reach me, for those homeless persons could easily be us or someone we know of.

there is a homeles shelter said to be on Church Street downtown Kingston and maybe more in that downtown area

What is this pastor's and many church's contribution to open their church or empty spaces as refuge and shelter from this horrific hurricane season
THE NEWS REPORTER SHOULD HAVE ASKED THAT PASTOR IF HE OPEN THE CHURCH HE SO CALLED SHEPHARD OVER AND LEAD, HE IS NO LEADER, BUT COMING ON RADIO/TV TO TALK from his side of his mouth.
Part of that big church could've hold some and all homeless if they choose to come, for many homeless are leary of Jamaicans who will treat them unkind and rather weather the storm outdoors.

There’s absolutely no EXCUSE for these homeless people to be in that storm on the streets it all comes down to the MAN IN POWER and all Govt Agencies making sure there’s enough SHELTERS to get them off the streets.. they talk and talk and do nothing while they’re safe and secure in their warm homes without a care in the world for the NEEDY..
All of Jamaica got hit with the hurricane so why is he just going to some area. The poor people need money in the community to buy food. There are more elderly people out there who do not have shelter right now who need to have shelter and food. The government (YOU) is not moving fast enough. The JDS need to be dropping water and food over the island. Why is curfew on the people when the people are the one cleaning up the island? NOT the Government. Where is the JDS the need to be out giving out food and water and cleaning up the island.

IS THERE A OPERATING SHELTER IN EACH PARISH AREA AND AT CAPACITY CAN IT HOLD UP TO. FOR THERE ARE MORE HOMELESS PEOPLE THAN SHELTER
CAN LAND BE DESIGNATED FOR HOMELESS SHELTERS, ONE OR TWO UNIT FOR WOMEN ANS ONE OR TWO UNIT FOR MEN only

What about the churches they do have a part to play as well you could use the church to hold them as well. Just like all they do in America. Shame on you all.
I seems to remember homeless was in vited to go to shelters Ha e u seen the homeless in cities in US snow rain or shine Berlin. Norway etc

It should mandatory for the governments to make sure they have these people off the street and put them in a safe place in my opinion that’s not accepted at least make an attempt maybe they don’t want to leave
