From all the 4 Supermen that appeared after Superman’s death, Steel has to be my favourite. Apart from Superman himself, John Henry is the one we can connect to and relate to and has more humanity then Cyborg Superman, Superboy or the Eradicator
Someone categorised the 4 four supermen as followed: CyborgSM: Superman's Wrath Eradicator: Superman's Morales Superboy: Superman's Youth Steel: Superman's Heart And I Agree, Steel is pretty much the closest superman as compared to the rest, only without Superman's powers
Death of Superman's Steel is a very interesting character. Sure he was a fanboy, and probably the weakest of the New supermen but he was the most heroic and relatable. Not to mention he puts up a pretty good fight against the Eradicator.
To be fair, most of the superhero movies in the 90's were based on completely random and obscure characters. Phantom, Tank Girl, the Shadow, the Crow, Blade, etc.
0:10 I remember watching this movie 🎥 on 📀 this year and I actually liked it for the first time. 1:25 that’s my favorite part of this scene, where Steel takes down of Metallo’s kryptonite ♥️ with the 🔨.
At first the first time I ever heard of steel, I thought he was stupid, then I saw his movie and I thought he was a brilliant character, then I read his comic and I thought that he was the greatest superhero in the Reign of the Supermen story (and I still think he is). But his awesomeness isn't what makes him great to me, it's his courage. It's the fact that when superman croaked, he took over for him and did his best fighting crime even though he had no superpowers. He is pure of heart, and used scraps to fight crime. This man is a true hero. He teaches us that anyone can be superman even if they don't have the powers of the tech. They just have to have the courage and the heart to sacrifice themselves to be a hero. This is just my opinion though.
I love it when sites like this do most of the underrated heroes and villains when they need as much time in the spotlight like green arrow or red tornado
What about the Steel introduced in 1939 (Henry Heywood) and reintroduced in the 1970s, who was a member of the JLA in Detroit, before John Henry Irons was even a gleam in Louise Simonson eye?
steel is just like us all. He get no power but with his intelligence he can help supes with his armor which he built by his own hand and intelligence. i hope james gunn will bring him into live action
This is making the build up to region of the Supermen having John Irons aka John Henry be inspired by Superman in throne of Atlantis then in death of Superman he's working for Cyborgs dad and he's wearing a Superman t shirt he wears with pride and then we see him making steel armor with the Superman emblem
Hey, guys! Check out our new website for more comic book content: www.comicbookjoint.com
What if DC made John Henry Irons Steel use Padding suit
@ ComicBook Debate looks like your going have to update this video with the Superman and Lois
I actually was surprised that Steel was in so many media, i never knew about his Live action films until now, that's actaully very intresting

What about young justice Connor
Kinda the point
Steel's so underrated, can't wait until he gets a much needed reboot movie to get that Shaq garbage out of my mouth.
Well we just got a pretty badass live adaption of the character in Superman and Lois
Forget that! He should be in the DCU
@@CarlosBristol1663 Looks like a doomslayer...Need to get bit more creative with their design.
Never realised that steel was in throne of Atlantis. That’s pretty cool continuity.

Evolution of Eradicator
Surrender or be Eradicated!
The fact that Steel has a movie and Nightwing doesn't...
If they gave him a movie, his arm would dislocate or break.
To be fair, most of the superhero movies in the 90's were based on completely random and obscure characters. Phantom, Tank Girl, the Shadow, the Crow, Blade, etc.
although steel was fucking godawful
@@pokeyclyde2428 idk why but i liked that movie.
@@eastsouth9548 I guess there’s something for everyone
Honestly the movie Steel could have been good if it was more serious and focus a bit about Superman's death
Or just got rid of the stupid special effects. Steel didn't use a gun. He had steel rivets shoot from his wrist.
Steel was one of my favs. I still have some of his comics.
An amazing character that is criminally underutilized in the DCU. Hopefully that changes soon...
Steel my favorite
I hated in the 90's when his book ended at issue 50.
That line about trimming luthor's nose hairs gets me every time
I remember, when I was child, I like "Steel" with Shaq... But now I realized, how it was rediculous 😂
Teen titans go, young justice outsiders, and reign of the Superman are the only movies that steel has a cape
He has a cape in some episodes of JLU.
Very underrated character but that Shaq movie was shit.
Not really, I enjoyed it
The movie made me cry 😭
@@kld2009 why?
Absolute shit, but a guilty pleasure and still wish for a blu ray release
Movie was so terrible
Evolution of All Lanterns of different colors

Why would you like that garbage movie
Haganero because, I don’t mind, when it has negative movies in my own opinion.
First. I love Steel. He was awesome in Dark Nights Metal.
Ohh yess
Evolution of Mirror Master!
absolutely one of my favorite Super Heroes, John Henry Irons is the fucking coolest
Iron man+thor+superman=steel
Yes ! We have see this in the Superman & Lois tv show.

I want to see Steel in DCEU movie. Also the 1997 movie looks fun.
Thanks so much for this. One of my fav heroes
Need an udaptes after watching Superman & Lois. We have a great Steel from this show.

Gonna have to update this now.
I always thought "John Henry go!" was forced.
HOLY MOLY! I DIDN'T KNOW BLACK LIGHTNING WAS STEEL!
I didn't know what you were talking about at first but yes, he voiced him in T.D.o.S and R.o.t.S so I know what you mean now
Nice bro
this hero must get more credit. i love him.
4:42 Now that's a face only a mother love.
I love that thumbnail.
Anyone who would charge a group of alien robots just using a sledgehammer is awesome in my book :)
Steel deserves a remake movie
Might want to update this now.
I love it when sites like this do most of the underrated heroes and villains when they need as much time in the spotlight like green arrow or red tornado
The irony of Cress breaking it down right after the Young Just League scene with Steel & Jefferson where he plays Black Lightning on tv.
Evolution of the Batmobile, pin this comment if you agree.
He already did that search it
Bat Man No he didn’t
There is a video called evolution of the batmobile in movies and tv sooooo
Bat Man That’s not Then & Now’s, And other Evolution channels are pretty much crap if you ask me
Bruce Wayne Why are they crap?
Please choose the hard way!
Nice
He was the best in reign of the supermen 🔥🔥🔥
5:16 is awesome swing
Please make a video about evolution of Bat signal.
Real quick question! Who would win in a fight steel or cyborg?
Humanity of heart
A mix of Thor with his hammer Ironman with his suit Superman as inspiration with a little bit of Shaq thrown in for good measure 👀 lmao
Do the Evolution of all the Lantern characters of all colors.
Let's be honest. The Shaq Steel Movie is probably better than most of the stuff the DC is releasing nowadays
I'm a big fan of then and now
He is the original black hammer
Cw brought me here thank you
Ikr🤣
can you please do "Evolution of Commander Steel" and "Evolution of Vixen"?
Steel lands killing blow to Lex.. He's got jokes lmao! 😭😂
Oh my god, Shaq!
Do Hugo strange
I know that he’s a bit of an Iron Man rip off but he’s so underrated and underused
John Wilson AKA John Henry
Wait...
How he became from a builder to scientist?!
Those movies in one universe!
Evolution of metal mans
Steel is all GIANT in the movie.
5:17 ever get that feeling of de já vu ?

Gotta admit they nailed the looks of the supermen in the reign of the supermen
What's your intro music please
5:13 he turned into the booty warrior fleece Johnson! Lmaoooo!!
kein Nate Heywood(Dc Legends of Tommorow) ?
Wow, he’s Steel and Black Lightning. Lucky him
"Please I'm bout to smoke you like a blunt" DC comics in the 90's!
Oh my god. I forgot about shaq doingvthat steel movie. I like how hes repelling up his grapplingvhook in slow motion cus hes so fucking big.
I wish could have made more 90's superhero movies
What about the Steel introduced in 1939 (Henry Heywood) and reintroduced in the 1970s, who was a member of the JLA in Detroit, before John Henry Irons was even a gleam in Louise Simonson eye?

Evolution of Marvel's Surtur please!
Best armor at 4:48 in my opinion.
Thought the guy on the left in the thumbnail was a silver version of Bible Man.
They should make him a origin movie.
Evolution of katana in all media pls
Um. How does the METAL mask move when he talks ???
Nano tech?
“Here’s 6 minutes of the evolution of the DC Comics superhero Steel, in movies, cartoons and TV shows. For all of January 2019.”

*My Favorite Steel*
Also the real johnna hex is pissed off saw him in teen titans go.
Super Steel!!!!
Where's the one from Legends of Tomorrow??????🤔🤔🤔
That is a different steel. This is John Henry Irons. the one from Legends of Tomorrow is based off of Citizen Steel, a whole nother character.
Not the same character
Steel is an example of how you make a black character like superman you don’t simply make a black Clark Kent.
Phil Lewis as John Henry irons
Evolution of the Bat and arrow family
Goooooooooo Steel.
Side kick sidekick yeah that's me
This is making the build up to region of the Supermen having John Irons aka John Henry be inspired by Superman in throne of Atlantis then in death of Superman he's working for Cyborgs dad and he's wearing a Superman t shirt he wears with pride and then we see him making steel armor with the Superman emblem
Where is the steel from flashpoint paradox
