Shaykh 'Abd al-'Azīz al-Bukhārī was one of the most renowned Mu'adhins of al-Masjid an-Nabawī. His voice was the first to be broadcast on radio. People would see him at all the gatherings of Mawlid un-Nabī in Madīnah tul-Munawwarah, and he would tearfully recite in praise of Rasūlullāh ﷺ and his noble family.
One day, someone heard his voice and they fell in love with it so they invited him to Jeddah and offered him a post in the Masjid, a large salary, and free accommodation, so he went. One day, he saw Rasūlullāh ﷺ in his dreams and he said, 'Abd al-'Azīz, you have left us! Have you forgotten about us?' He woke up crying, left his wealthy job and rushed back to Madīnah. The man who invited him to Jeddah tried to convince him to return but he refused because of the dream. The man then said, 'You will have the exact salary in Madīnah and even better!' The Shaykh continued making the Adhān in the Masjid until he passed away. He gave up Jeddah and Allāh gave him the Baqī'. Al-Fātiḥa!

وہ شیخ عبدالعزیز البخاری ہیں، جو مسجد نبوی کے سب سے مشہور محدثین میں سے ایک ہیں۔ ان کی آواز سب سے پہلے ریڈیو پر نشر ہوئی۔ مدینہ منورہ میں میلاد النبی کی تمام مجالس میں لوگ آپ کو دیکھتے اور آنسو بہاتے ہوئے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور آپ کے خاندان کی تعریف کرتے۔
ایک دن کسی نے اس کی آواز سنی اور انہیں اس سے پیار ہو گیا تو انہوں نے اسے جدہ بلایا اور اسے مسجد میں ایک عہدہ، بڑی تنخواہ اور مفت رہائش کی پیشکش کی، چنانچہ وہ چلا گیا۔
ایک دن اس نے خواب میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا اور فرمایا: "عبدالعزیز تم ہمیں چھوڑ کر چلے گئے، کیا تم ہمیں بھول گئے ہو؟" وہ روتا ہوا بیدار ہوا، اپنی مالدار ملازمت چھوڑ کر مدینہ واپس چلا گیا۔ جس شخص نے اسے جدہ بلایا اس نے اسے واپس آنے پر راضی کرنے کی کوشش کی لیکن خواب کی وجہ سے اس نے انکار کردیا۔
اس شخص نے پھر کہا: "تمہیں مدینہ میں ٹھیک تنخواہ ملے گی اور اس سے بھی بہتر!" شیخ مسجد میں اذان دیتے رہے یہاں تک کہ ان کا انتقال ہوگیا۔ اس نے جدہ چھوڑ دیا اور اللہ نے اسے بقیع عطا کی۔ الفاتحہ
