It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. They said: “O Messenger of Allah! Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah?” He said: “Not even Jihad in the cause of Allah, unless a man goes out with himself and his wealth and does not bring anything back.”

The Quran also tells us to obey the Prophet Muhammad (Surah an-Nisa verse 59), to take what he allows and refrain from what he prohibits (Surah al-Hashr verse 7), to follow his judgments (Surah an-Nisa verse 65), and to abide by his decisions (Surah al-Ahzab verse 36). It also tells us that some of its verses are ambiguous in meaning (Surah Al-e-Imran verse 7), and that the Prophet Muhammad will explain the meaning of the revelation (Surah an-Nahl verse 44). All of this is the domain of the Sunna. The Sunna records what the Prophet Muhammad said, did, and silently allowed. It shows us how he put the Quran into action. It tells us what he commanded, allowed, prohibited, judged, and decided. And it informs us how he explained the Quran. The Sunna is an important and necessary source of Islamic law.
So what do the Quran and Sunna have to say about women’s dress?
“O you Children of Adam! We have bestowed on you raiment to cover your shame as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness, that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition.” (Quran 7:26)
“And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear therof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, or their brothers’ sons or their sisters’ sons, or their women or the servants whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex, and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O you Believers, turn you all together towards Allah, that you may attain Bliss.” (Quran 24:31).
“O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful

Compare the recitation of Surah Nisa with that of two other leading Qurraas namely Shiekh Shuraim and Shiekh Sudais
Shiekh Shuraim doesn't recite the very first letter of this surah fully. He recites 'Ya'. While as Shiekh Sudais recites the very first letter better than Shiekh Shuraim. He recites the very first letter of this Surah as ' Yaa'.
While Shiekh Al Mishary recites the very first letter of this Surah fully as " Yaaaa'

This Sura says that women are inferior to men and may be beaten into submission:
    - (aya 34) "Men are in charge of women, because Allah has made the one over the other... So good women are obedient... As for those from whom you fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart and SCOURGE them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them."
For the benefit of those who would dispute this:-
The words of Sura an-Nisa 34 are clear and unambiguous.
The words "SCOURGE them" used in the Muhammad Pickthall translation endorsed by AL-AZHAR accurately reflects the original Arabic. To SCOURGE someone is defined as 'to beat with a rod or whip' and NOWHERE does the Quran say that this BEATING is to be given with a Mishwak, toothbrush or anything similar.
ANY punitive assault is degrading and applies the superiority of one party over the other.
There are several SAHIH (authentic) hadith giving instances in which women were beaten by their husbands or fathers so as to cause bruising and pain to which the prophet of Islam did NOT object - or even condoned or committed himself. For example:
    - Sahih al-Bukhari 72.715 - A woman complained to the prophet that she had been beaten by her husband and showed 'Aisha (wife of the prophet) severe bruising as evidence. 'Aisha exclaimed "Never have I seen women suffer as much as the believing women". Muhammad condoned the man's 'right' to beat his wife and sent her back to him.
    - Sahih Muslim 4.2127 - In which Muhammad struck his child bride 'Aisha she said ""He struck me on the breast which caused me pain."
    - Sahih Muslim 9.3506 - Muhammad laughed on hearing that his fathers-in-law - Abu Bakr and Umar - had slapped his wives (their daughters) Aisha and Hafsa for annoying him.
Abu Dawud 2141 reads: "Iyas bin ‘Abd Allah bin Abi Dhubab reported the Apostle of Allah as saying: Do not beat Allah’s handmaidens, but when ‘Umar came to the Apostle of Allah and said: Women have become emboldened towards their husbands, he (the Prophet) gave permission to beat them." (This is graded SAHIH - authentic. It is also reported in Sunan Ibn Majah 9.1985, also graded SAHIH)
Kash-shaf (the revealer) of al-Zamkhshari (Vol. 1, p. 525) - [Muhammad said] "Hang up your scourge where your wife can see it"
