Aah, I had this game as a kid, and I Ioved, and still love those beautiful sound effects that you hear when you click on things and draw with certain things. And it’s so fun to draw and paint. 😇
I played this as a kid. Today I am a professional graphic designer. I just randomly remembered this game and searched it up. Looking back, this was amazing preparation for Photoshop and other design industry programs! I mean just look at how the "New File"/clipboard has the actual universal symbol for "New File". Same with a bunch of other tools, such as lasso, etc. All in a kid friendly setting where you can explore and learn by trying things out (sidenote: This I believe is the reason why things like tech skills come so easy to milennials, it's because we go into it with an attitude of "I don't know what this does, lets find out" and we tinker around like that and figure it out, versus my grandma's generation, who have an attitude of "I don't know what this does, so I better ask someone who does to write down the specific instructions step by step so I can reference back to it because there's no way I can memorize all of it" lol). Anyway, in conclusion, this game made me who i am today and i can't believe i ever forgot about it. I'm so glad i remembered this, i can't wait to show some other designers in the industry and see if any of them used to play it too!! Edit: Actually I played the original version of this. I was wondering why some of the brushes (the snails, vines, etc) seemed unfamiliar, while others (the whipped cream, jewels, ladybugs) seemed very familiar. Also, I was wondering why it didn't have the option to switch between 2D and 3D! On the original, when you clicked on the spray bottle again, you could switch between 2D (e.g. the jewels were just in flat color with black line art) to 3D (e.g. the jewels how they look in this video). Also I just remembered, I unfortunately couldn't do any of the animation studio portion of the game (the parts with drag-n-drop Mickey and Minnie etc). The whole game was very large and my old, slow windows 98 (or possibly xp?) would struggle to get through it without wheezing and heating up... but the animation parts would make it downright freeze or crash :( However, and correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but this seemed to be the case for most graphics-heavy games on those old computers (ESPECIALLY The Sims 2 omg)!!

If only I realized at the time how much of these random tools that just did fun things at the time would loosely translate into what we now use on a daily basis! if only all of the adobe CC software made these noises 😅
