Creating a high-res map using a drone!

- Today we are using a drone to create a high resolution, up-to-date map. This map can be overlaid onto Google Maps or Open Street View. Accurate volumetric and distance measurements can be taken from it. This map can even viewed later in 3D!

For this video I used a stock standard DJI P3P. The only mod was the HDMI port installed in the remote controller, which provider the live video feed on the aux. monitor.. That isn't necessary to make a map however.

High guys - yes the stitching was done by uploading the photos to 'Map Pilot' via the website.
What are the recommended camera settings for mapping work ?
what is the minimum altitude of this apps , i need 30M ALTITUDE FOR MAPPING , IS IT POSSIBLE ON THIS APPS

Hi, What camera angle did you set your gamble at? was it 90degrees looking straight down?
Izak Van Coller the camera was set to 90 degrees downward. This was actually done automatically by the mapping app too!

Its necessary more to be a high res ! Aplications need to work better !
To map large sites, it may be worth considering a fixed-wings drone such as the Delair UX11
