THANK GOD YALL BACK!!! I read yall was on break until the 25th I was depressed. PLEASE ADD THAT 1 MORE HOUR THEY DESERVE IT! AND WE NEED IT
@@mattsmith4589they should be on for 3 hours
I was worried the show was going to take the whole week off
probably the next 2 weeks
Is there a way to know what days they'll be off?
Me too! Now that undisputed is done, at least temporarily, this is the only other sports show I have
@@DrLanalnah sometimes they announce it. Most times they dont
I would not have survived the hiatus.
Wildes' delivery is everything . Show has hit Godspeed since the change and still going .
Yea I agree. I didn’t like Wildes when this show forts came out and Nick is beyond biased but the three of them are soo good together. It’s the beta sports show out there
I love how the media builds these humble guys up, and then tears them down before they ever play a game because of “unrealistic expectations” THAT THEY SET😂.
They did the same with Wiggins and Zion (best prospects since Bron), they did it with Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, the list goes on.
Luka too!! 🙌 sad but true ….
that's why nba rigged the lottery and put wemby on the spurs.. they don't want that talent to go to waste bacause of organizations that are bad at developing and cultuvating it.
Exactly Chris is the main guy doing it he's a clown frankly and a king flip flooper.
All facts
Just because expectations are extremely high doesn’t mean unrealistic.
Brou was spot on with his call of the Spurs shutting Wemby after just a few games.
Wildes' delivery is everything 🔥
Nobody can predict how Wembanyama will evolve in the next years. There are so many variables and it can happen everything: from winning the MVP in the first four years to big injuries which throws him back of developing his game. But I hope that he will make the best of him of what is possible.
Mvp in his first 4 years? That's crazy. There's so many players that are still evolving, and Giannis, Jokic, Luka, ... aren't going anywhere. It's a 0,1%.
@@dietersterkens5716 you're right. Getting MVP so early is not likely. But who knows how he will be in 4 or 10 years. It is troublesome to speculate so much.
@@dietersterkens5716The only way that happens is if he leads the Spurs to the playoffs as a 2-3 seed within four yrs.
@@dietersterkens5716 No it's not crazy. Players like Jordan, Bird, Magic and Kareem were already winning MVPs or in the conversion by year 4.
The only way Wemby won't be winning it or in the conversation is if injuries derail his career. If he gains 20-30 lbs and further improves his shooting it's a wrap for the NBA. He's 7'3 with SUPER long arms too boot. The guy barely has to jump off the ground to dunk it. Some of his rebounds already are things we haven't really seen. He can shoot over anyone. His shot will be unblockable.
There's a reason all the experts are hyping this kid so much. He's the real deal folks. I think within 2-3 years he will become pretty much unstoppable. 30 ppg and minimum 10-12 rpg. Probably 3-4 blocks per game. Wouldn't surprise me if he averages 34 ppg and 15 rebounds at some point.
I actually don’t think the kid is all that. Reminds me of Porzingis…BUT…he leads the spurs to the playoffs, that’s MVP!!!
Best show out ! By far honestly these guys are the perfect team honestly!
I don't understand why they always have to mix them with women who actually should talk about the wnba and leave man basketball to man.

Gotta outscore your opponent to win. No matter how you slice it
@@richardcallender5531 gotta stop your opponent from scoring too though.
@@richardcallender5531 Exactly, and the Hornets were extremely hesitant to attack the paint while he was in. In fact, they avoided playing the ball near him for the most part. Don't be fooled by the highlights, there's a reason the Hornets only scored 68 pts.

@@SavageZoenah this show was always better. Undisputed was cool cause shannon but it was dry
@@JonesThaGodundisputed back in 2016-18 was peak.
100% with Chris. Once Wemby gets going with the full team and plays all the teams, and all the bigs, and ESPECIALLY when he makes his mistakes, it’s hard to believe he won’t take off, strictly because of his size and skillset. I’m a perfect world given who he is, he should average great numbers (moreso 2nd half of season). The ONLY thing stopping this, and I been saying this, is history. No one at his size has lasted in the league. Just gotta pray to the basketball lords that he stays healthy so he could reach his potential
He reminds me of Yao. The size, the soft touch from the outside, the footwork close to the basket. Yao was proably stronger and had better post moves. Wemby is more mobile and athletic and a better ball handler and perimeter defender.
Good thing gong for him is he won't be pressured as much as Yao to play for the national team during the off season or even whe he's injured since they have Gobert and Embid in that position.
curious what his skill set is. 30% 3pt shooter? below average rebounder? He has a midrange and great defense.
Best sports show right now n it’s not even close!!
I was surprised by his passing ability. Might take some time but I think he’s definitely a future star
Same. I felt like I already saw everything else. The passing definitely stood out. Especially when you think about the kind of success Jokic has had. If Victor can learn how to control the game like that, it’s scary hours.
@@sypherd.3771 I'm not convinced by him. With his odd build he's going to be very injury prone no matter how much he tries to prevent it. He's going to be playing against other guys around 7ft who are far more robust physically (jokic, giannis etc) and at some point he's going to land weird and wreck his joints.
@@iandrake1942 Giannis was even skinnier than Victor as a rookie.
@@sypherd.3771 no he wasn't. Giannsis was like 6 inches shorter but only 20 lbs lighter, but already much more muscular. Wemby will not be able to add the kind of bulk giannis has without increasing risk of injury on his joints.
@@iandrake1942 Giannis was more defined. Nothing about him was muscular lol
I understand what Nick is saying but I also feel like he’s underestimating how quickly Wemby can learn the NBA game. He seems to be extremely bright and level headed. Of course physically that’ll take time but just from a basketball standpoint Wemby looks like he’ll be at worse a 17-19 point per game type player as a rookie
Euro players learn much faster than US players
@@ReeaalityTv Must be. Euro games are tough. First, harder body contact is permitted. Second, there is no defensive 3 seconds. Thus there is always a big guy camping in the paint area to protect the rim. Most drive to the basket plays in NBA simply do not work. Euro players have a wider skillset and more adaptable.
Show has hit Godspeed since the change and still going 💯👌🏿
It’s hilarious because you know Nicks beef with this guy is because they said he’s a better prospect as Lebron. Love the show
What beef? Nick was actually right with this take.
Biggest LeBron fan and totally agree
@@rajathebull4121 Rudy Gobert has averaged north of 13 points his career outside of his for first 2 years in the league. This kid will be absolutely fine offensively because he has that height and an actual offensive game. Nick can never hide his bias. Bru offered real critique. Once again I love the show.
@ca9735 Rudy is also stronger, and can work the pick and roll. Why are yall acting like his weight isn't a big deal lmao. He's gonna have to work alot harder once the NBA starts and these real big men start putting bodies on him. Getting to his spot is not gonna be as easy as yall think unless, like nick said he gets stronger or his jumper gets better
Better prospect? I genuinely doubt it at this point, I do think he has potential to be better and that Nick is definitely threatened by him though lol
Oh my gosh, Broussard cooking again!
Am I the only one who thinks this is the best show of all the ones on the sports stations.
Definitely. They aren't regurgitating the same points daily like Undisputed and First Take. And the debate the other day regarding Belichick and Reid where Wildes and Nick went at it was refreshing to see actual passion in the debate without name calling or dismissal.
No...Nick Wright, many times, uses to put out stats without any sense of context...he does it many times. Someone who doesnt know much about stats listen and thinks "this guy knows", but then a guy that realy understands, argue with some context and theres Nick theories exposed...more important, he is a LeBron lover...not a fan, a lover...is to biased, talks of him to many times, almost everything he says serves his idea of LeBron being the goat. I dont like that, as I would not like it if it happened towards another players, like MJ or any other. I watch this cause its kind of fun sometimes, but Nick almost ruins this show sometimes...and for real, he doesnt know that much about basketball...isnt it obvious?
This guy will be instantly 20pts + , 10+ boards + 3 blocks per game. Instantly, and that will increase over the next 3/4 years. No doubt.
Idk why ppl can't see that
that’s literally a top 5 player of all time if he doesn’t get injured. little too high of an expectation

On top of that, he has a great left hand, especially when it comes to finesse finishing. He had 2 or 3 absurd and-one finishes with his left hand this weekend
Heres what ill say i watched that first game. The talent is there. Hes fluid, has a handle, can pass but he does have sole things to work on offensively. Defensively he has all the tools to be dominant AD like. Most importantly he was the mental make up. He canceled a lot of events to practice to show what he could do in the second game he wants to be great. So it really is going to come down to health for him thats it.

His best asset is blocks, and you didn't predict that number.
Get him to 225lbs and he's good. A training camp is all he's gonna need to show out, he's someone who thrives through a disciplined routine, bro hadn't played for 6 weeks and looked rusty against hungry NBA talent but still managed a 27/12/3 performance regardless. The season will be fun.
He's weighted 104kg(229lbs) in France so maybe he still need a bit more weight.
I’d 235 but over a course of two years allow is body to get used to the added weight to prevent injuries. If he touches 235 he’ll be a problem frl. He probably already closer to 225 than we think because of his huge frame
He's already 225
He's already 237 genius
Wemby will be the GOAT
Two minutes in and Chris “Backpedal” Broussard is already at it with the damage control
"If you want to see more of wemby.... you cant!" Lmao
these guys got next, gold standard of sports media imo
Nick is wrong on this one. I saw a play by this guy that I've never seen in 30 years of watching NBA ball. The guy tipped a rebound whilst standing on 2 feet then jumped and dunked it in the air over another player . That play solidified for me that the guy is a freak and going to change the league.
We can't actually predict how Wemby will play his rookie season. He's played professional basketball for years so the most difficult part will be adjusting to living in America.
Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, Chris Webber, Duncan, and Melo are a few other players that entered the league & had success in rookie seasons. I know Nick only likes to praise LeBron (& Luka), but thought I'd also mention those All-time greats.
Wemby will probably avg 18 and 10 in his rookie season
With 3 blocks.
College? He played professional basketball for the past 3 years in Europe, thats worth much more than 3 years in college basketball. Cmon now, he is a way smarter and more experienced player already then anyone else that was drafted.
Wembanyama shot 82.8% FT.last year on 6.3 attempts/gm. Usually good FT shooting is a great predictor of who will be a good 3P shooter. In the modern era you rarely ever have great FT shooters who stink at 3P shooting, or vice versa great 3P shooters who stink at FT shooters. They're usually pretty strongly correlated
35-36%
@cheeto8960 that's reasonable. Him and Porzingis are pretty similar honestly. Porzingis is a career 36% 3P shooter
I don't really buy any of the Wembanyama hype. I'm way too worried about him being constantly injured. And at best case I see him as a slightly better Porzingis. But I'm definitely not buying he'll be up there with Kareem, Duncan and Shaq as the greatest bigs
@@EricBilodeau-ln9vy I got him as at least little better AD, and duncan as a peak but hopefully stays healthy
@cheeto8960 I'm rooting for him but his height scares me. The NBA officially lists him as 7'5" and they stabdardized measuring all players shoeless a few years back. So he's a legit 7'5", probably close to 7'7" with shoes.
I've done my research and no player 7'3" or taller has ever met all these criteria
1) won at least 3x all-stars
2) been the best or 2nd best player on their team for at least 8 seasons (58 game minimum to count)
All the really good tall guys like Yao Ming, Ralph Sampson, etc. were only able to stay dominant for a few seasons. There has been a group of tall guys like Rik Smits and Shawn Bradley who had decently long careers but they were never the top 1 or 2 options for even a season let alone 8 seasons. And everyone else just wasn't very good and couldn't stay in the NBA, they couldn't stay healthy, or had careers riding the bench.
The expectations on Wembanyama are way too high just given his height. I think he's got a chance to be great if the Spurs never play him over 60-65 games and if he never averages over 30 minutes in a season. Then they can unleash him in the playoffs. But if he plays 70+ games and averages 35+ minutes I don't think he even makes it 10 years in thecm NBA
I get what Nick is saying let’s not force so much pressure on him and let Wemby be great instead and just enjoy what he can be
This is the best sports show on tv. I just wish Nick would let y’all talk without the over talking and constant ad libing
If there’s an organization to set him up right it’s the Spurs - Pop, Duncan, Robinson, Ginobli, Parker…some of the greatest professionals and players in league history.
7:07 Can’t remember seeing someone sneeze on live tv before. Glad to have witnessed this
He will adapt well.
They should wait 2-3 years and slowly build up his body. He's got the skills, but there's no way he stays healthy with this frame. And stop the dribbling, I don't trust his legs(maybe because I've never seen such a big man move like that), I'd make him a center.
He wouldn’t last long as a center. His height helps but if they’re trying to keep him off of weights. He will get bullied too much.
just as you said, you've never seen anything like him. if he's so unique, then why would you want him to be similar to a traditional big man? kinda defeats the definition of one of a kind..
wemby displayed incredible court vision. did you watch the games nick? Lol
Personally I think Wemby will own the NBA. He's truly a special talent. The only way it doesn't happen is if injuries derail his career. Aside from that the sky is the ceiling. 7"3 with those lanky arms is a cheat code in a sport like basketball. He barely has to jump to dunk the ball. Some of those sneaky rebounds he got were all down to his long arms. Rebounds that would have typically been out of range for other guys. He will always be able to shoot over others with ease and get his shots off even when contested.
If he gains 20-30 lbs it's a wrap for the league. His shooting is already good but it's safe to say it will improve as well. There's a reason he's the most hyped player to enter the league in 20 years. Again, only injuries derail this kid. Otherwise San Antonio hit the jackpot.
My two kids argue the same way about which is the best Star Wars films. Like it.

Nick has a real issue with anybody compared to LeBron. Wemby got next! Once he figures out the NBA it's a rap. He will be rookie of the year hands down. Scoot is nice but he will have the same issues as Derrick Rose Ja Morant John Wall. Reckless attacking the rim leads to a lot of injuries. Wemby will get stronger as he ages. I believe they want him to put on no more than 15 pounds so he can remain light on his feet. I think most players injuries now come from being heavy. Players nowadays weigh more than players in the 80's and 90's. It's more weight and force on the joints. So being lighter will make him keep more flexible and agile. Look at all the players that got big and strong have a lot more injuries in my opinion. I'm no doctor I study the game.
Bingo I been saying a lot of the hate Wemby is getting is from insecure Lebron fans that feel threatened that theirs a new prospect getting more hype than him and being considered to have GOAT potential.
@@joshuadonald9383 you’re probably right about Scoot. He was injured in the second game against Wemby’s team 9 months ago and now he was injured again in Summer league. I've been Nick's side on Wemby's expectation, but its not ludicrous about Wemby being mvp in 4 years, He showed his flash of dominance offensively, and consistently defensive team-dpoy level player. So maybe he is being little toocautious about him?

LIVE and from New York its your favorite fans favorite show
Let's see against much bigger and better guys it's summer league
Scoot has been injured in 2 games where his team faces Wemby. But Wemby is the frail one? lmao
The Spurs invented load management. Wemby is going to sit out a lot.
lol, a month ago he was still playing in the playoffs, hasn't had 1 day of rest, and still puts up this performance. and these casuals on the show don't even understand it 😂
Nick is DEAD WRONG, Vic is gonna walk in and dominate. Vic will be 25 n 12 w 3.5 blocks, book it!!!!
Pop started is load management early
I think we have to give victor 6-7years before we can COMPLETELY label him anything
Chet Holmgren, Kristaps Porzingis, Victor Wembanyama are all basically the same player. The only difference is that Chet & Victor are much better defensively than Kristaps.
They aren’t the same
@genorivera2207 have u been watching Summer league? Yeah they are. Holmgren has handles, can drive, can post up, is athletic and can hit three's and blocks shots all over the court. He's just a little shorter at 7'1". Porzingis has handles, can shot the mid-range, can hit three's, will drive, is athletic and is 7'3". He just doesn't block as many shots. BTW, Victor is 7'3.5".
I don’t think you understand the gap defensively between wemby vs Chet and tingus pingus. And also in terms of potential wemby is gonna be way better than tingus who’s lazy rebounding wise.
@lawisclems4303 Wemby isn't going to live up to this ridiculous hype. People get too caught up in the uniqueness of taller players, but when it comes down to it, their actual production isn't always better than shorter players. For example, Kevin Durant while great has NEVER scored more than 55 points, has only 1 regular season MVP, and hasn't won a championship away from the Warriors all-star team he was apart of.
We'll see how those young guys do defensively. KP is a dude on defense. Let's not forget Chet got folded trying to protect the rim
the thing about that's wild about these Wemby conversations is people clutch their pearls when people try to compare current players that are All-timers to previous generations. But have no problem saying a guy with no NBA experience will do things people considered in the top 10 EVER never did and comparing him to them. So many things have to fall into place just for him to be in the MVP discussion.
Jerry West was trippin. LOL. The Spurs don't want Wemby to end up like Chet did last year.
Without undisputed this the only sports show I watch 🤷🏽♂️
Victor will be abeast right away i noticed lwbron fans are the biggest hayers of Victor because of the greatest prospect quote
about VW not playing anymore SL games - he's making the team. there are a lot of guys that aren't making the team and they need the playing time and to be evaluated.
so these guys think in 4 seasons spurs are gonna be a top 5 team in the nba
give wemby a 15 game ramp he’ll be ROY
Broussard, c'mon, comparing an unproven player to Garnett? What are you thinking? That's by far the best outcome possible and the most unlikely outcome. I wish him the best, but let's just be patient.
these analysts need to make bold statements and predictions about players because that's their job.. if they keep on saying safe things like let's be patient and let things happen first, they would be boring to watch and will lose their jobs eventually..
Nick forget the Wemby is in the Spurs, in the Spurs! The organization gonna make him work and 2 to 3 years. He gonna be a superstar.
This guy will reveal just how good LBJ was coming into the league straight from high school.
He's playing against rookies wait till the season starts when he plays with much older physical players.
it's more physical in europe.. luka and jokic themselves said it..
