And THAT line right there- “I’m not willing to do whatever my dad thinks it takes to co own the farm.” Is exactly how that meeting over buying the farm went. Sums up everything that’s happened. Matt was never going to sell that farm to his sons.
If Zack had played his cards right I bet his father would have given him a great price on the house if Matt saw the hard work Zack put into it.
Zack should have done what his dad did and once Zack had the farm then he can change it to his way.
Amy is a level headed person and has a lot of class

Edit: Amy is a literal angel, she is so inspiring and I really give her credit for everything she’s been through and how amazingly she came out on the other side. So adoring.

Caryn, her suggestions matter, owner or not, she put her whole life into the farm and raised her children....it is not about the money to Amy, it is sentimental, emotional.... She was/is hurt (by many people in many ways) and still finding her voice on what was supposed to be her forever then her kids forever.
Well find your voice! Then let’s move on and stop acting like a spoiled brat! If she hasn’t learned she will lose Chris with her messy/bossy attitude. If I were Chris I wouldn’t sell my home. I would sublet my home and any other property I would put in a trust….just in case things don’t workout with Amy.

That farm seems like it's more important than his son. He wont even give up half of it to Zac to change it up a bit or try new things. It's a family farm & you would think he would be dying to pass it on to one of his kids or have one of them want to work with him. The dad is so greedy when it comes to that farm.

Amy is a class act. It’s incredible how she was able to handle everything with such poise and grace. As for Caryn, I don’t trust her, she doesn’t seem genuine and I highly doubt she is with Matt for love. She was an employee of his after all and saw property and a nice paycheck from TLC and went after it while betraying her friendship with Amy and helping destroy a family. To me a person like that, lacks values, morals and class. Amy should definitely proceed with caution with this one.

Zack I so admire the man you’ve become! And you’ve figured out your dad and the best way to deal with him! That takes a lot of smarts. Your dad is one of the most controlling people I’ve ever seen! Too bad he doesn’t get counseling for it as it’s ruined or damaged so many relationships. People who have this degree of control issues usually have very little insight....so true of your dad. He justifies every inappropriate controlling decision he makes, usually at the expense of another person.

You know, as a child of divorce who grew up seeing their parents completely in love and being best friends to seeing their parents hate eachother and fight eachother in court, I really appreciate this family. They are honest about the struggles and completely open to change and starting things off on a better foot. I wish my mom would have accepted my step mom more like Amy did with Caryn. It's refreshing to see.

The reason Caryn no longer feels awkward and now feels comfortable making decisions in regards to the festivities on the farm is due to Amy selling her part of the farm. Now the farm is under Matt’s ownership and since Caryn is Matt’s wife everything works out in her favor.

Really awkward. It’s time for Amy to detach herself from Roloff Farm once and for all. At the end of the day I suspect it’s down to her whether or notshe wants to get involved anyway and I doubt Matt will ever force her to do so. And if she wants to be there then be there as a casual visitor. Don’t do it for TLC she should do it for her own self interest and mental health. End of the story.
