Nothing better than a Reel Mower…
My first Job!!!
They’re the best, there’s nothing better!
Thanks for the review! I have been looking for something to keep the fast growing weeds under control between actual mowing sessions.
This looks primed to do the job.
Sounds like one of your wheels could use some WD-40.
@@Nova_Zed it’s a great mower! Very reliable and low maintenance!
@@Nova_Zed haha… I remember when I was editing this video I had that same thought… it definitely needed some WD-40 🤣
I learned on one of these in about 1963 in Pocatello Idaho.
They are really great mowers; fun to use too!
I bought one last year and ready to do a final mow for the 2023 mowing season in Southern VA with cooler air in the 60’s during the days and 40’s at nights by Sunday.👍🍁
Enjoy the last mow of the season!!
Yes I have, I will be getting one.
Good video
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
For some reason, I want the mowing segment to conclude with a chase scene and Benny Hill music.
Haha 🤣 that’s funny!
Can this be used on wet grass? For e.g. in the mornings, before the sun is scorching hot.
Yes, you can mow in the early morning when there’s dew on the grass. Just make sure to wipe the blades off with a rag or towel. You might have to use a leaf blower to remove any cut grass that gets stuck to the mower.
However, I wouldn’t recommend mowing after a heavy rain.
@@TheGardenersGarden Ok. Thank you.
It's so short already, from what I've seen this won't be suitable for me. Thanks for review.
Yeah, push reel mowers don’t do well with tall grass or grass with tall seed heads.
Both my front and back lawns are St. Augustine and I’m currently mowing them once a week with the cutting deck at 4 inches. The mower can easily handle 6 - 7 inch tall grass mowed at 4 inches.
I’ve also used it without any problems on fescue and rye grass… but something like bahia with its tall seed heads would be challenging.
Thanks for watching! Hope you find something that works for you!
@@TheGardenersGarden I appreciate the extra detail, I've got a foot+ in height over 2 acres with thistles thrown in lol, but I wouldn't go as far to call it "brush". Even so will probably have to get a professional in or strim the lot. Been looking at blades over line, still going to be a heck of a lot of raking up to do! Reel mower does look great if you keep on top of things.
