Lesson 2: Making the Pack Files
In this video I show you how to generate your behavior pack and resource pack folders from scratch. This includes producing manifest.json files, creating dependencies, how to make a pack_icon.png and how to properly add names and descriptions to your packs using language files.
Finally I show you how to export these folders as a .mcaddon file that you can import into Minecraft and share with your friends.

@@Yo-Da-Action read all of the vanilla code and try to learn what's going on. Also download someone else's modpack and read some of that 🤣 it's confusing but I figured it out before I even understood the code

Hey! Hum, I'm experiencing some issues on the making of mod/addon, and it's specifically on the dependencie part. Minecraft points out that "Missing dependency on ID... And the version '1.0.0'."
The ID's are all connect the way you've indicated on the video. I've also noticed that Minecraft does not create the resource pack, only the behavior pack for some reason. I applied the manifest on both of them and did the changes you've indicated in the video. I kindly ask for help, if that's okay! (Don't wanna sound rude, I'm just genuinely confused)

followed your tutorials but hit a snag at the lang file. i cant seem to get it to change the pack name like you showed. any ideas on what i could have done wrong

I'm having issues with my packs. When I make changes or update them, the changes don't appear on the world. Do I need to update to a new UUID or is there something I'm missing?

I was trying to create an entity that switches its model when the player interacts with it using a specific item (eg: shears). However, nothing happens and I cannot interact with it. (the resource pack was 100% working)
Hi! I was follwing along, and it was going along well, but I just noticed that I can't find my Behavior Pack. It has the Resource part of it, but it is missing the behavior one. I know they are supposed to link, but I haven't had any luck. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Hi Foxy! I do not know programming, how little it is thanks to modifying some addons a bit and because of my level of English, but I would like to know why we put in the name of the pack pack.name if you can put the name directly from there and not with a lang file.
PD: srry the english, i am now using translator 😅
It's how you have to do it for market place content so it's the "official" way to do it.
You don't need to do it if you prefer not to. I suppose it's only useful if you're creating a pack with different languages.

I feel like I have followed all the steps but after I create the .Lang file my pack name and description doesn’t change in the game. I’m not sure what I’m missing. Any thoughts?
Never mind. I found the error in my ways. I named the folder text and texts. My mistake.
i had the same issues spent over an hour trying to figure it out then i saw your comment and was like "is it really just that" and it was just a missing s on the file lol.
foxy can u make resource or addons to add mob more spawn rate on bedrock edition? because spawn rate in mcbe on server i cant setting the spawn monster is hard to farm exp because spawnrate
Yes and no. You can increase the overall density caps so more of the same mob types can spawn, but you can't increase the total caps.

i installed MCLAuncher and then my Minecraft Windows 10 was gone and i had to repay for it in the shop i got it again but lost everything so what did i do wrong cause im dont want to lose everything again when working on addons
Once you've paid for minecraft you don't have to pay again. The store you bought it from remembers your purchase.

I don't know if you have or had the same issue I did where I decided to put spaces in between the left and right side of the '=' to make it look nice. Delete the spaces if that's what you've done.

I like this series but it’s too bad I can’t do it my self (I don’t have windows 10)
I believe you can still do all the work, only that you can't test it on your computer. You will need to export the pack to your phone every time you want to test it

@@foxynotail ohhhhhhh your right i think maybe not a lot of people know about the app inner core it's a mod app that have minecraft java edition mods and others there is like 59+ mods and there is 2 awesome furniture mods but inner core doesn't work on my TRASH device (btw you need to have minecraft first)
