Bear likes to eat with salt an pepper, so spray it all over your body quickly if a bear attack
In a panic, your performance can drop by half and you may start spraying before the bear is in range. I suggest carrying multiple cans or prepare what to do after you empty the can and the bear is finally in range.
Having tramped around Montana, I know when you hear a big bear snort at you from the bushes, you feel much better if you have a line of defense. These guys are fast, and easy to just injure and make madder if you think you are going to shoot a charging bear. But they cannot stand red pepper spray up their snouts and in their eyes. Some even slam on the brakes when they see the red can. Been sprayed before.
people think its the mother and cubs that are the most dangerous. But thats not true, Its the young naive starving bears thats the most dangerous.
What if the wind blows it back into your own eyes😂

we carry air horns and bear spray while bear trolling on our fat tire electric bikes, the .45 Long Colt loaded for bear is last resort. So far, no challenges. Pray I see a Sasquatch first.
There is a Video with a Bear continuing charging after been shot in the face with shutgun!
