Update: Dancer got added
Most crucial part is applying pressure on the dancer, they will get panicked if you rush them faster than they can.
You can do this by having a speedy class that can dash (warrior perhaps) or a long ranged class with decent mobility (sniper is best).
Dancer always backs out after jumping in, abusing that delay, we go in and strike so hard their dad forgot to wear pants for them.

I forgot about warrior Aaaaa. And yup! Warrior's a good counter too and does a better job at pressuring.
As a dancer main there are 3 types of dancer user
1. Offensive dancer: they not thinking anything and just attack like a maniac
2.defensive dancer:just like a cat if they attack you, you attack them
3. Patient dancer: they wait until u do the move if they use their all skills then they attack u pretty much like the defensive one but they know how too see scape route after a attack
As a dancer main i agree in this sometimes its rlly annoying when i get cripple but nah i mastered the art of dodging and actually when i see a sniper i kinda want them alive before the fs so i can do my favorite thing and that is dodging practice
Sniper into dancer is really an art form. I see that IIRynII player on dancer all the time and they REALLY seem to love that class. I think there's a lot of fun to be had in this stupid matchup. This is the critical strike equivalent of trying to kill a fly with chopsticks, except this time the fly keeps bumping into you until it stacks COMBO x4, just to whiff the 40 damage F and then zip around the map, collecting ALL FIVE heal cubes (again) to heal the 2hp it lost, and then repeating the cycle all over again. It's really a blast. I love playing sniper into dancer.
It's always a fun and thrilling experience fighting against dancers. Fast and sometimes unpredictable. But God, I still wish it never existed.

Dancer has predictable patterns, low hp and needs space to operate. If you pin him down he will have a very hard time coping. But you can never let your guard down, his burst is insanely high, im pretty sure he can even kill a full hp brawler with his complete combo. But most people are bad with dancer and cant keep their cool, so you wont have a problem with him if you simply dont play carelessly.

OK this is very late but the best counter to dancer is monk. By far the best. Sniper is in no way near as big of a counter if not a counter at all I'd argue.

From my experience as Dancer and playing against dancer:
All classes except gladiator is untrue. The real counters that I would say are: Knight,Gladiator, Mercenary and Warrior(braindead class).
When you are facing dancer, your best thing would be terrain abuse and dodge until they are having cooldown. I don't need to explain why they can counter.
Also sniper is just BIG no. Dancer can just wait until u drop to ground and time their abilties. So just don't use it lol.
It's easy to read a Knight, Gladiator, and Mercenary's attacks as I have experienced playing Dancer as well but they can be possible counters. I have a hard time fighting against Warriors as a Dancer.
