They should have done another test of same time elapsed without the air purifier running to measure how much of that dust drops to the ground. A lot of modern drywall compounds are specifically designed to drop to the ground faster than the older ones to help with clean-up. Still should wear proper PPE of course.

  • @mickobee

How long was the dust left before the purifier was on? Was there a control where there was no purifier over the same period of time? Obviously not all of it but I feel your results could be achieved at least in part by the dust settling

"By the dust settling" what do you mean? Wait until all the dust has fallen to the floor and stuck to walls, sofa and the dog bed(?) In that case you still need you vacuum your house, the air-purifier will only remove what is in the air at a given point.
I've had several people come with their purifier in my shop claiming cash-back because their floor was still dirty.

Actually air purifiers do more than reduce dust but also decrease VOCs and heart attacks.
Poisons in the air you can’t see
eg particles in your house from car exhaust fumes or detergents.

I have 3 Coway air purifiers in my NYC apartment including the one you have in this video. I can NOT recommend this brand as I noticed that the seal around the official Coway HEPA filters let’s even large debris and dust through the exhaust which is visible behind where the filter sits and the plastic grate on top of the unit. These air purifiers can’t be sealed if I am able to see dust and debris past the HEPA filter. These are nicely designed purifiers but poorly engineered and executed! I will not be buying these again nor recommending.

An air-purifier won't clean your house(?) You still need to vacuum your house even if you have a purifier. It's only removing pollutants in the air, not on your floor or your sofa.
In an actual use case it's even more powerful because it keeps your inside climate fresh and pollutant free, that is- if you vacuum your house, lol
