Last week, we made some DIYs to refresh the living room and this week, we are finishing up the refresh and giving it a whole new look. With spring here, I was just really yearning for a fresh start and I’ve learned that no space is ever really “done” it just continues to evolve as you grow. This was the very first space we made over when we moved in and now it’s time to change it up, so let's make it cozy and elevated with a fresh coat of moody faux limewash paint and a couple DIYs.

So this is an inspiring makeover using old and new. The wall treatment is perfect. The art piece is just amazing, maybe your best yet, IMHO. You are becoming quite the designer.

Nice job! Rug tip. If you roll it the opposite direction for a day or two in its new space, the side will lay better when you unroll it.
It amazes me how changing a few pieces here and there really elevated the look of the entire space. I love watching your creative thought process, then see the final reveal. That must be very rewarding!! I am gathering inspiration as this summer we will be updating our house in preparation for retirement. I would love some ideas on how to deal with wallpaper that is very difficult to remove. We are considering painting over it with an oil based primer, then do a skim coat to smooth the wall out. (The paper was put up by the previous owner, straight onto the sheet rock without any wall prep at all. it is NOT going anywhere!)
I thought the plant near the window/door and the lamp behind the chair made more sense. Since the plant could get the light and the light behind the chair fpr reading. Plus i think it would work better to have the table lamp on the left side and the small plant on the right. Like theres a mini version the big item on the opposit side. Just a thought.

I love it! I almost wish your circle art was bigger. If you put another larger circle under your current art piece with maybe 4-5 inches outside the current piece, it would balance the tv better.
