Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy centers around the conflict between Cosmos, the goddess of harmony, and Chaos, the god of discord. The added prequel plot focuses on the twelfth cycle of conflict, featuring the new characters as Cosmos's Warriors of Light. After the twelfth cycle is complete, the game retells the thirteenth cycle (the plot of 2008's Dissidia Final Fantasy) with new side stories added.

what zidane said about the number of arms is related to the fact that in ff9 there's a character called gilgamesh that has 4arms (you can find him in daguerreo)

The heroes and villains in this game all have a type of amnesia, causing them to forget a good deal of who they are. This is seen with Cloud been on the side of Chaos in this game, despite all the other heroes being on the side of Cosmos. Gilgamesh wasn't summoned the same way as the others, but the memory magic still has some effect on him as well, so he doesn't really remember a lot except for Bartz.
That, does... explains a lot about the Dissidia Final Fantasy Games. But Garland knows who the Warrior of Light is, meanwhile Bartz doesn't remember who Gilgamesh is. Could it be, that The Playable Characters in Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy all happen to come from a different point in time in their respective games, Like, For Example, Tidus could've come from After Final Fantasy X, but before the 100% Ending of Final Fantasy X-2, or Bartz not knowing who Gilgamesh is could be because he hasn't encountered him yet in Final Fantasy V. A Possibility, I know, but a question, Perhaps.
@@egateqa1351 Garland is... a special case. The original Final Fantasy already had a kinda time loop thing going for it, so that might be why.
