It's all about the adventure! I think videos like this are frequently taken for granted. As a landscape photographer, I often base my work on these types of videos. I appreciate all your work and effort. Thank you for sharing!

Beautiful area. My first time was last October. Hiked several trails. Stayed at the campground with the free range cattle...lol. I would definitely return! Nice vid. Shame on the weather for y'all.

Lots of really cool spots out there. The backcountry permits can be tough to get, but when our plans changed last minute there were actually permits available, so we got lucky, but guess the weather may have had something to do with it!

Beautiful area! May have to put it on the list of places to check out. Yep, better to be safe than sorry when it comes to the weather. Great Video Mark!

Thanks Mike, you need to check it out! Be sure to reserve a backcountry permit if you're planning on backpacking out there, they can be hard to come by!

Great video, as usual. That weather turned bad quickly! There are some places to get down on the South and SW sides of Elk Mountain that aren't so bad :)

Thanks man, I'll have to go out there with you sometime to see where you go and how you do some of the things you do out there. Plus, I'm sure we're always feet from something really cool that you know about and we just don't see it!

Great video! I was sent here from Steven sharing it on his FB timeline. I am really hoping I can make it out to see that area at some point this year, so thanks for giving a little tour. :)

Oooo seen you went over to Charon's garden. Pretty area, been up and down Mt. Scott more times than I can count. Oklahoma weather for the win... good to see high tail it out of there. Haha
Side note: supposed to be gold in one of those caves hidden by the James younger gang. I don't believe it's ever been found.

Yeah, when the forecast changed it made it an easy decision. I guess next time we're out there we need to start looking for some gold!

One of our favorite hiking and camping areas. Hope you come back again when the weather is more accommodating. 😊

Looks like an area prone to flash flooding

I don't think it sees much of that at all. I'll check with some friends, but I don't recall ever hearing about any flash floods out there.
