I wouldnt call ace combat 7 a flight Sim game, that's like calling call of duty a milsim game, it just isn't. It would be an accurate flight Sim if you live in a fictional world where the rule of cool defies physics and reality.

personally, I would think that calling ace combat a flight sim would be closer to calling doom eternal a milsim or CS:GO a movement shooter like quake.

the Harpy does this since..... 1989. one of the launching platforms is a truck (military truck)
he doesn't know because the US uses exclusively HARMs launched from planes. Harpys (and harops) were just used in the nagorno-karabakh war to destroy russian-made SAMs and other stuff (along with other kind of ordnance).
although they're technically not UAVs, they're loitering munitions (unlike the shaheds), but the size is about the same.
i still have no idea why you guys showed him dcs, then showed him the f22 mod, b2 mod, and then someone who was new to dcs!

@@TheSilverwolf1001 Longshot too.... even OperatorDrewski (when he isn't landing on roads in pvp for ambushes) would've been a better choice than what they used, he still at least knows what he's doing in terms of milsim play
@@SA80TAGE it hurt that his starting complaints were that it was unrealistic to be that close in a taxi situation because never in dcs have I gotten that close to another active plane unless their taking off with me. Most of the things wrong were user error or just janky third party mods instead of a proper module. sad. OperatorDrewski would have been a killer example, he learned DCS from the start to now and its been a year or two since hes been playing it so hes pretty well versed now.
I'm Japanese and have been playing the Ace Combat series since the original PS1 game. Ace Combat's genre is often misunderstood; Ace Combat is not a "real flight simulator", but rather a "flight shooting" game. In Ace Combat, the amount of missiles carried is unrealistic, which is what makes it so exciting for players to shoot down enemy jets and other planes with a large number of missiles. It's no wonder that the protagonists of all-time Ace Combat are able to pull off combat maneuvers that would normally make you faint. Since the hardware transitioned to PS2, Ace Combat has been depicted realistically from the pilot's perspective and cockpit perspective, and in the game option settings, the altitude can be changed from ``meters'' to ``feet,'' and the speed can also be changed from ``meters'' to ``knots.'' You can do it, but people say things like ``Ace Combat's flight speed is impossible,'' but you can tell by changing the display settings.

Knots is an aeronautical term, back in the day they used to fly real low, open the canopy and cast the log, counting the knots by hand as the line slipped thought their fingers.

What makes DCS so special is that it’s engine is remarkable and rare when it comes to the physics portrayed on the simulator , almost everything is identical to real flight combat besides the Gs as they used the flight manuals from the older models of the F 16 , F 18 hornet , F 14 , and the F 15 E etc… they are all declassified manuals specially if they are full fidelity. Hats off to Eagle Dynamics outstanding work!!!🍀

I've talked to my colleagues that are CF18 pilots. And they say the hornet feels nothing like it does in real life. Haha

Why did you show msf2020 with just goofing around and glitches instead of proper flights. Ace combat has also terrible bugs but instead this video showed the others in a better light than msf2020 🤦🏽

The large plane dont take longer to accelerate because its heavier.... but because it has lower TWR. If you slap a big ass engine too it, it will accelerate just as fast as a fighter jet.

Soooo many better videos of air combat to show a combat pilot. Ace Combat is an arcade, Flight Simulator doesn't model combat, and the DCS footage was modded content with new players that didn't know wtf they were doing.

big birds have very big power overkill when flight without normal load of fuel and cargo/people. so any of them as they are relatively empty can take off as jetfighter:)

in msfs and fsx with all default models you have an opportunity to got something 3rd party really close to the rl. it's buffetings, stall, spins, over g effects, in fsx-p3d even really good weapon systems if use vrs tackpack for different 3rd models or vrs f/a-18e... in msfs2020 even in default ac you can set different settings, where you will destroyed on overspeed over g hard landing engine overstress. actually i don't even think is correct compare stuff like ace combat with fsx-p3d-msfs-dcs... in any way thank you, very interesting:)

Hey, Gamology! Nice work (as always) but could you just clear up what is said at the start of segment at 07:46? "You see those X's in the display? That's a 'break X' - you look at that as you're [inaudible] weapons."
The captions say, "as you're employing weapons," but I don't know whether that was just a plausible guess from the CZcams AI. Would you be lovely and just confirm that for me and if it *is* "employing weapons", could you please ask David what the purpose of the "break X" is and *why* that's when you see it then? Is it the plane telling you to "brake" like in a car - to slow down so the weapons don't come off the rail or out of the bomb bays at too high a speed and overshoot the target? Essentially a, "You are going too fast for me [the plane] to give you an accurate picture of where your weapons will hit if you release now, without slowing down."?
It feels like he just got distracted keeping up with the footage to explain what that was. I'm interested and I'd appreciate it!
where is the credit for the content creators. In DCS the F/A-18 was an Operator Drewski video and Microsoft flight simulator was actually flight simulator X and it was Airforceproud95.

Ace combat 7 is an arcade style of flight combat, not a simulator. Instead of carrying 4 missile a fighter could be equipped with 40 or 100. It's more about action, combat while flying iconic jets

I believe Ace Combat measures its speed in Km/h instead of knots and its altitude in meters. Also AC is more of a arcade game than a flight simulator.

Ace combat is between STG game and flight simulation，not hardcore type but still good to establishment of spatial perception. You can't make a rookie play DCS world, Microsoft Flight Simulator and XPlane, That's too hard.
You should have chosen better footage to represent DCS. This video isn't really a pilot comparing the realism levels of different games, it's primarily a pilot comparing the realism of how the recorded player is playing in different games.

It depends on what branch is flying it
Only the A uses the boom.
The B and C (of which, the F-35 in Ace Combat is, the C model) uses the probe.
