Anybody remember when the Teen Titans were serious enough to watch?
Man the original series was so good. Very mature and learning to kids true things about life, may them be sad or comforting. The characters were likeable and cool and had their own complexities they manage to overcome thanks to one another.
And now TTG... wut. I mean why, in the first place. Like we didn't have enough over-the-top silly shows nowadays. They ruined every single character: Robin the leader is crazy and arrogant, Starfire is just awfully stupid, Beast Boy is never serious and lazy, Cyborg is a total jerk and Raven is like a pathetic emo. Plus the lessons they teach are frustrating, so bad it makes me question what the creators had in mind. Good job CN for ruining entirely what used to be one of your best cartoons

I know its hard to move on from what you used to enjoy as a kid because of the nostalgia of watching the original teen titans and reliving your childhood all over again. But the reason CN had to end the original teen titans was simply because of one thing: *TIME*. The simple reality is that time evolves and you need to stick with it. if shows like qubo are unwilling to evolve with time then they wont be able to survive the wave. Because they won't, they just won't survive the wave. CN can't stick to the same success formulae, the audience would no longer be interested and simply they would want to MOVE ON.

I have an answer to this from what I hear from people:
People liked the original Teen Titans for its action, seriousness, and depth. When it got rebooted, all the dramatics were gone. Everything was crazy, about poop and was like a show for a 5 year old. We went from tense and cool battles with people like Slade to Beast Boy shaking his butt at the screen. We went from character development to Robin being a maniac and being desperate for Starfire. It is as though it is mocking the people who watched the original teen titans. They also cancelled Young Justice for it. Thank you for your time.

Yeah Raven is the only character who feels okay. The most disappointing for me is Starfire: what did they do to her. Original sure is awkward and has trouble getting accustomed to earth, but she still had the brains and could find solutions to problems quickly. While TTG's is just an idiotic over the top silly girl ...
At least it's an alternate universe, so it won't affect the original line.

yes thank you. Especially it mocks all of the superhero shows. Like they said this show is just for little kids. 1 year olds. I watched Teen Titans, both Justice League's, and batman, including all of the movies. Those shows had brutal stuff, they also included funny stuff, but nothing of it was dumb. Young Justice was also a real superhero show, with a plot hole, because This Stupid Show replaced it.

Young Justice was more like a sequel to Teen Titans and not a bad cartoon at all. Teen Titans Go is an insult.
My main issue overall is just the horrible treatment of Robin. He was my favorite character in the original because he was my sort of role model. So to see him so degraded was a slap in the face.
It made the show unbearable to me and I barely see anyone or even the showtimes address it. Even in the ONE episode he got his revenge, he barely did anything to them b4 they made sum low budget apology solo film for him to watch and feel special. They fucked up one of my favorite characters for no mf reason other than to get children to watch and money. Shii is mad annoying

Do traditional Teen Titans fans have no sense of humour then? People are saying they miss the good old days, but for me the good old days is Dexter's Laboratory and Teen Titans Go seems to follow directly in that show's footsteps.
@@Fatpie42 The original Teen Titans did have humor, but it didn't patronize the audience with mindless jokes that took up the majority of the entire show. It balanced the humor with more serious moments whereas Teen Titans Go butchers everything that made the original what it was. The humor in Go! could literally be done with any other characters from any other show and it wouldn't have made a difference in the punchline. It's like someone taking the Avengers: Endgame movie and making all the actors and actresses do a script from Dumb and Dumber.

I don't agree that the characters are interchangeable. They all have very distinct personalities. In order to be more like Dexter's Laboratory and less like Batman The Animated Series or something like that, inevitably Teen Titans Go NEEDS to be very different from its predecessor. The recent movie that has both versions meeting up had some of the old Teen Titans episodes on the DVD and they just felt boring to me. I find TTG much more exciting and creative. Literally anything can happen in TTG, and it often does.

They could have done the same joke with waffles for example, with different characters instead of taking well established ones with their own genre and audience. The original Teen titans was already doing fine. They didn't need to appeal to others who weren't fans to begin with because they could have just made up their own original characters for their kind of humor. What they did was hijack beloved characters and made them do things that were against their original personality. It's like I said before, people who go to see Avengers: Endgame are going to be understandably annoyed if Black Widow all of a sudden goes on a "Waffles, waffles, waffles" binge.
If you wanted a TTG style of comedy, you can find it readily in Spongebob. Spongebob never pretended to be deep and serious and didn't have to invade another show to be funny on its own. TTG is a parasite that latched onto a completely different style of show to pass off cheap jokes.

I know its hard to move on from what you used to enjoy as a kid because of the nostalgia of watching the original teen titans and reliving your childhood all over again. But the reason CN had to end the original teen titans was simply because of one thing: *TIME*. The simple reality is that time evolves and you need to stick with it. if shows like qubo are unwilling to evolve with time then they wont be able to survive the wave. Because they won't, they just won't survive the wave. CN can't stick to the same success formulae, the audience would no longer be interested and simply they would want to MOVE ON.
I didn’t even watch the OG Teen Titans and I still hate this show. It’s so annoying and I found the episodes boring. Even if you didn’t watch Young Justice, Teen Titans, etc, you can still see why this sucks

Have to disagree. If you look at old cartoon network shows. They appealed to younger and older audiences. Dexter's Lab, Ed, Edd, Eddy, Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, etc. Those shows had enough jokes for both audiences and you could see the character growth (aside from maybe Bravo) in each show as well as the occasional lesson. In TTGO, its like they put simple jokes, dance moves, and pizza in every plot and only bring in a villian when people are tired of the vapid group. They wrote the show for people with a single digit IQ.

Robin is just annoying hitting everyone. yelling n such. Now cyborg. I can’t think of a reason he’s much different but he just is. I guess I feel like they ruined what the character’s used to be. 8:42 Yeah, but no. While pairing like Raven x Aqualad and Cyborg x Jinx seem to come out of nowhere, they're actually references to the original series. Teen Titans (2003) series hinted at these relationships, but never did anything with them. (except in the comics based on the series)
In the episode "Deep Six," Raven (and Starfire) are shown fawning over Aqualad, with hearts in their eyes. It's also implied, and later confirmed, that Cyborg had a crush on Jinx, while he was undercover at Hive Academy.
One thing I hate about TTG the most is its influence on CN. CN worshipped TTG to the ground and would air it nonstop ever since Christina Miller became CN president. When Stuart Snyder was still president of CN, TTG would only air as much as the other shows did. Not just that, it also influenced other terrible reboots of good franchises like Ben 10 (2016), PPG (2016), Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs (2017), and Thundercats Roar (2020). At least shows like The Problem Solverz and Secret Mountain Fort Awesome were short-lived and barely had an impact on CN, although Secret Mountain Fort Awesome influenced the creation of Uncle Grandpa.
